As I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah along with their neighboring towns,” declares the Lord,“ so no one will live there; no people will dwell in it.

I destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. I also destroyed the towns that were near them,” announces the Lord.“ Babylon will be just like them. No one will live there. No human beings will stay there.

As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring cities, declares the Lord, so no man shall dwell there, and no son of man shall sojourn in her.

I will destroy it as I destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns,” says the Lord.“ No one will live there; no one will inhabit it.

Just as God demolished Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns— this is the LORD’s declaration— so no one will live there; no human being will stay in it even temporarily as a temporary resident.

当时，耶和华就使硫磺与火，从天上耶和华那里降与所多玛和蛾摩拉；把那些城和全平原，以及城中所有的居民，连地上生长的，都毁灭了。

以东必倾覆，像所多玛、蛾摩拉，和它们的城镇一样（这是耶和华说的），必没有人住在那里，也必没有人在那里寄居。

神判定了所多玛、蛾摩拉二城的罪，把它们倾覆，烧成灰烬，作为后世不敬虔的人的鉴戒；

又像所多玛、蛾摩拉和周围城市的人，与他们一样的淫乱，随从逆性的情欲，以致遭受永火的刑罚，成了后世的鉴戒。

在罗得的时代也是这样，人们吃喝买卖，耕种建造，直到罗得离开所多玛的那一天，火与硫磺从天上降下来，把他们全都灭掉。人子显现的日子也是这样。

巴比伦本是列国中的华美，是迦勒底人引以为傲的荣耀，必像神倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉一样。那地必永远没有居民，世世代代无人居住；阿拉伯人不在那里搭帐幕；牧羊人也不领羊群躺卧在那里。

因此，万军之耶和华以色列的神说：“我指着我的永生起誓：摩押人必要像所多玛，亚扪人必定像蛾摩拉，成为刺草和盐坑之所，永远荒凉之地。我余下的子民必掳掠他们，我国中所余的要得着他们为业。”

又看见了遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火烧，没有播种，没有出产，寸草不生，好像耶和华在烈怒和怒火中毁灭的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样，

他们的尸首要倒在大城的街道上。这城按着寓意叫所多玛，又叫埃及，就是他们的主被钉十字架的地方。

“以法莲啊，我怎能舍弃你！以色列啊，我怎能把你交出来！我怎能对你如同押玛，待你好像洗扁呢！我的心肠翻转，我的怜悯发动。我必不让我的烈怒发作，必不再毁灭以法莲；因为我是神，不是世人；我是你们中间的圣者，必不会含怒而来。

因此，在一日之内她的灾难必然来到，就是死亡、悲哀和饥荒；她还要在火中被烧掉，因为审判她的主神是大有能力的。“地上的众王，就是跟她一同行邪淫、骄奢无度的，看见焚烧她的烟的时候，就必为她痛哭捶胸。

若不是万军之耶和华给我们留下一些生还者，我们早已像所多玛、蛾摩拉一样了。

“人必不从你那里取石头作房角石，也不从你那里取石头作基石，因为你必永远荒凉。”这是耶和华的宣告。

“我倾覆你们，就像倾覆所多玛和蛾摩拉一样；你们像一根木柴，从火里抽出来；但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。
