當播告宣示於列邦、樹立旌旗、宣示勿隱、曰、巴比倫已陷、彼勒抱愧、米羅達見折、巴比倫之神像被辱、諸偶像見折、

“ Announce and proclaim among the nations, lift up a banner and proclaim it; keep nothing back, but say,‘ Babylon will be captured; Bel will be put to shame, Marduk filled with terror. Her images will be put to shame and her idols filled with terror.’

“ Announce this message among the nations. Lift up a banner. Let the nations hear the message. Do not keep anything back. Say,‘ Babylon will be captured. The god named Bel will be put to shame. The god named Marduk will be filled with terror. Babylon’s gods will be put to shame. The gods its people made will be filled with terror.’

This is what the Lord says:“ Tell the whole world, and keep nothing back. Raise a signal flag to tell everyone that Babylon will fall! Her images and idols will be shattered. Her gods Bel and Marduk will be utterly disgraced.

Announce to the nations; proclaim and raise up a signal flag; proclaim, and hide nothing. Say,“ Babylon is captured; Bel is put to shame; Marduk is terrified.” Her idols are put to shame; her false gods, devastated.

“ Declare and proclaim among the nations. Proclaim it and lift up a flag, Do not conceal it. Say,‘ Babylon has been captured, Bel has been put to shame, Marduk has been shattered; Her idols have been put to shame, her images have been shattered.’

“ Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim— do not conceal it— Say,‘ Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces.’

Declare ye among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed; her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.

Announce to the nations; proclaim and raise up a signal flag; proclaim, and hide nothing. Say: Babylon is captured; Bel is put to shame; Marduk is devastated; her idols are put to shame; her false gods, devastated.

Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish,[ and] conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

“ Announce the news among the nations! Proclaim it! Signal for people to pay attention! Declare the news! Do not hide it! Say:‘ Babylon will be captured. Bel will be put to shame. Marduk will be dismayed. Babylon’s idols will be put to shame. Her disgusting images will be dismayed.

“ Declare among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don’t conceal: say,‘ Babylon has been taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed! Her images are disappointed. Her idols are dismayed.’

Bel bows down; Nebo stoops; their idols are on beasts and livestock; these things you carry are borne as burdens on weary beasts.

And behold, here come riders, horsemen in pairs!” And he answered,“ Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the carved images of her gods he has shattered to the ground.”

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the images of Babylon; her whole land shall be put to shame, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and take out of his mouth what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer flow to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen.

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will execute judgment upon her images, and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

“ For I know their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory,and I will set a sign among them. And from them I will send survivors to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands far away, that have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations.

One runner runs to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to tell the king of Babylon that his city is taken on every side;

On a bare hill raise a signal; cry aloud to them; wave the hand for them to enter the gates of the nobles.

“ Declare in Egypt, and proclaim in Migdol; proclaim in Memphis and Tahpanhes; say,‘ Stand ready and be prepared, for the sword shall devour around you.’

Therefore hear, O nations, and know, O congregation, what will happen to them.

Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done.

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.And he said with a loud voice,“ Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”Another angel, a second, followed, saying,“ Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”

And in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, graciously freed Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.

Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken; wail for her! Take balm for her pain; perhaps she may be healed.

“ You have heard; now see all this; and will you not declare it? From this time forth I announce to you new things, hidden things that you have not known.

“ Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the coastlands far away; say,‘ He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’

and have cast their gods into the fire. For they were no gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they were destroyed.

At the sound of the capture of Babylon the earth shall tremble, and her cry shall be heard among the nations.”

And he called out with a mighty voice,“ Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.

And you will say in that day:“ Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.

Warn the nations that he is coming; announce to Jerusalem,“ Besiegers come from a distant land; they shout against the cities of Judah.

I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.He shall break the obelisks of Heliopolis, which is in the land of Egypt, and the temples of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with fire.’”

The Lord will be awesome against them; for he will famish all the gods of the earth, and to him shall bow down, each in its place, all the lands of the nations.

At that time Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent envoys with letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that he had been sick and had recovered.
