因此，万军之上帝耶和华对我说：“因为他们说了这话，我要使我的话在你口中成为火，使他们像柴一样被烧毁。

故萬軍之上帝耶和華曰、為彼言是、我必使我言在爾口為火、斯民為薪而焚之、

萬有之上帝耶和華、告先知曰、爾傳我命、民棄之若此、我必以命為火、以民為柴、焚燬務盡。

故主萬有之天主如是云、因爾曹有斯言、故我必使我言於爾口為火、使民為薪、焚燬務盡、

Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty says:“ Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.

The Lord God rules over all. He says to me,“ The people have spoken these words. So my words will be like fire in your mouth. I will make the people like wood. And the fire will burn them up.”

Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of hosts:“ Because you have spoken this word, behold, I am making my words in your mouth a fire, and this people wood, and the fire shall consume them.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies says:“ Because the people are talking like this, my messages will flame out of your mouth and burn the people like kindling wood.

Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD of Armies says: Because you have spoken this word, I am going to make my words become fire in your mouth. These people are the wood, and the fire will consume them.

Therefore, this is what the Lord, the God of armies says:“ Because you have spoken this word, Behold, I am making My words fire in your mouth, And this people wood, and it will consume them.

Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts:“ Because you speak this word, Behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire, And this people wood, And it shall devour them.

Wherefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God of Hosts says: Because you have spoken this word, I am going to make My words become fire in your mouth. These people are the wood, and the fire will consume them.

Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Because of that, the LORD, the God who rules over all, said to me,“ Because these people have spoken like this, I will make the words that I put in your mouth like fire. And I will make this people like wood which the fiery judgments you speak will burn up.”

Therefore Yahweh, the God of Armies says,“ Because you speak this word, behold, I will make my words in your mouth fire, and this people wood, and it will devour them.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me,“ I have put my words in your mouth. (niv)

“ Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord,“ and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? (niv)

If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die.They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want. (niv)

But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?“ Then they repented and said,‘ The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’” (niv)

Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth— then my judgments go forth like the sun. (niv)

Elijah answered the captain,“ If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, this is what the king says,‘ Come down at once!’”“ If I am a man of God,” Elijah replied,“ may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah.“ Man of God,” he begged,“ please have respect for my life and the lives of these fifty men, your servants!See, fire has fallen from heaven and consumed the first two captains and all their men. But now have respect for my life!” (niv)

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet,“ Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies.Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the Lord.’”In the seventh month of that same year, Hananiah the prophet died. (niv)
