“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.

The Lord says,“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem. Look around. Think about what you see. Search through the market. See if you can find one honest person who tries to be truthful. If you can, I will forgive this city.

Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, look and take note! Search her squares to see if you can find a man, one who does justice and seeks truth, that I may pardon her.

“ Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord.“ Look high and low; search throughout the city! If you can find even one just and honest person, I will not destroy the city.

Roam through the streets of Jerusalem. Investigate; search in her squares. If you find one person, any who acts justly, who pursues faithfulness, then I will forgive her.

“ Roam about through the streets of Jerusalem, And look and take notice. And seek in her public squares, If you can find a person, If there is one who does justice, who seeks honesty, Then I will forgive her.

“ Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is anyone who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her.

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that doeth justly, that seeketh truth; and I will pardon her.

Roam through the streets of Jerusalem. Look and take note; search in her squares. If you find one person, any who acts justly, who seeks to be faithful, then I will forgive her.

耶和華遍覽天下、見誠心從之者、則力庇焉。爾弗以之是賴、不智孰甚、嗣後戰鬥、靡有已時。

我稽察之、欲得一人、可補藩籬、可塞垣隙、立於我前、代民祈求、免我殲滅、亦不可得。

即之曰、為善為惡者、豈可槩滅之乎。邑中或有五十義人、則邑之人、豈可盡滅、何不緣義人、而赦其罪乎、並誅善惡不可、待善惡相等亦不可、鞫天下者、豈不行義乎。耶和華曰、所多馬邑如有五十義人、我必緣此赦其一方。亞伯拉罕曰、吾雖若纖塵、而敢上告、浸假而五十義者、缺其五、豈因是滅此一邑乎。曰、如有四十五人、則亦弗滅。曰、四十人則何如。曰、四十人、吾亦弗行是。曰、主毋怒、我有一言、若三十人則何如。曰、三十人、亦弗行是。曰我敢上告、浸假二十人、則何如。曰、二十人、我亦不滅。曰主毋怒、敢復進一辭而後已、或止十人、則何如。曰、十人吾亦弗滅。

上帝在天、遍察民人、欲知其中、可有智慧是具、上帝是欽兮、則皆就邪棄正、未嘗有行善之民兮、惟彼惡人、懵然無知、橫噬我民、無異食餅、不向上帝呼籲兮、

嗚呼哀哉、敬虔者為義者、在於斯土、翦除已盡、我欲得一人而不能、譬諸初稔之無花果、毫無所獲、其故何與、因夏果已收、葡萄已拾也、維彼眾民、設伏以殺人、設網以陷人、

爾但以理謹秘斯書、鈐之以印、末期既屆、眾將察之、益其識見、

則皆就邪棄正、未嘗有行善之民兮、

秉公義者、遠遁遙立、言真實者、仆於逵衢、不敢入邑。尚誠慤者不可得、改惡行者每遇害、援手無人、保護無人、耶和華見仁義衰頹、惄然憂之、彰厥仁義、顯厥大能、以拯斯民焉。

人喜涉訟、不懷公義、不尚真實、譸張為幻、藏於中者詭譎、行於外者邪慝。

敬虔忠信之人、見棄於斯世兮、惟耶和華手援是冀兮、

告之曰、疾趨以前、告此少者、曰、耶路撒冷居民、牲畜繁多、必恢廓其城、至於邑郊。

我即興、遊於邑衢、遍行大道、求我夫子、求之不得、

曰、我緣萬有之上帝耶和華、熱中特甚、以色列族背爾約、毀爾壇、殺爾先知、獨余留焉、亦欲殲滅。

邑門出入之處、揚聲曰、

詭詐百出、自棄者為所惑、蓋彼不願受真理致得救、

主怒、命僕曰、速往邑之衢巷、引諸貧乏、廢疾、跛者、瞽者來、

邑中馳驟、攀垣登屋、能入窗牖、猶之盜賊、

索之若金、尋之若寶、夫如是、則耶和華上帝、所當寅畏、可得而知矣。耶和華賜人以智慧、畀人以明哲。

人必遨遊、自湖至海、自北至東、求我耶和華之道、而不能得、

自伐其仁者甚眾、忠信之人世不概見。

宜求智慧、服膺真理。
