“ Wail, Heshbon, for Ai is destroyed! Cry out, you inhabitants of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth and mourn; rush here and there inside the walls, for Molek will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.

“ Heshbon, weep for Ai! It is destroyed! Cry out, you who live in Rabbah! Put on the clothes of sadness and mourn. Run here and there inside the walls. Your god named Molek will be carried away. So will its priests and officials.

“ Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste! Cry out, O daughters of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth, lament, and run to and fro among the hedges! For Milcom shall go into exile, with his priests and his officials.

萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、我必罰埃及之挪亞門、毀其上帝之像、誅王公法老、與凡恃法老之勢者、

昔以色列王所羅門、在耶路撒冷邪僻山側、曾築崇坵、奉西頓人可惡之物亞大綠、摩押人可惡之物基抹、亞捫族可惡之物密君、皆為王所污、

爾當衣麻哀哭、蓋我怒正盛、莫能遏止。

凡在樓巔、崇拜天象、更奉事耶和華、指耶和華而誓、亦指抹干而誓、

爾曹逸樂安居、必戰栗憂愁、解其衣裳、束麻於腰、見良田佳囿、盡屬荒蕪、不免椎心而太息、

富者當思將來之苦而號泣、

約書亞爇埃、使為瓦礫、今日之事為證。

洲島居民、哀聲慘戚、遷於大失。

耶和華以亞捫之事告眾、曰、以色列族豈無嗣子、崇事密君者、奚可強據伽得之地、而處其邑、

爾非利士民、已喪厥膽、大聲號哭、蓋敵自北方、叢集而至、若烟燄四塞、皆爭先恐後、

以賽亞以推羅之事、得之默示者、述於左、推羅喪敗、宅第全墟、關梁已毀、大失群舟、泊於基底、聞之哭泣不已。

君王見虜、牧伯為俘、我耶和華已言之矣。

耶和華為全能之主、降以大災、殲滅斯邦、其日伊邇、爾當號泣不已。

故摩押四境、必相號泣、吉哈喇泄之基、必遭傾圮、居民哀慘。

今巴比倫傾頽崩毀、為之舉哀、求乳香以醫厥疾。

摩押傾圮懷慙抱愧、爾當號哭、告於亞嫩、言摩押已亡、

因饑饉匱乏、不勝顦顇、適荒野而求食、或刈藜藿於草叢、或取茢菼之根為食。見逐於人、人呼其後、若叱寇賊。所居險阻湫溢、窟穴磐巖、呼號於林中、咸集於荊下。

殘賊猝至、民必衣麻、坐於塗炭、舉哀甚慘、若喪獨子。

摩押不被榮光在希實本有謀害之者、欲滅其國、末面傾圮、鋒刃隨其後。
