About Damascus: Hamath and Arpad are put to shame, for they have heard a bad report and are agitated, like the anxious sea that cannot be calmed.

城邑空虛、變為荒土、人皆喪膽、兩股戰慄、腰骨殊痛、悚惶變色、

其人遂往窺地、自汛野至哩哈、近哈馬之道。

爾手疲膽喪、

亞撒以耶和華殿中府庫、及王宮室、所藏金銀、遣使至大馬色、饋亞蘭王便哈達曰、

我聞之喪膽、毫無銳氣、不敢敵爾、蓋爾上帝耶和華、乃天上地下之上帝、

主將舉手、再拯其遺民、使自亞述、埃及、八羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈末、及海之洲島而歸、

可往甲尼至哈末大邑、又至非利士人迦特、徧加巡察、豈有他國、較此國尤尊榮、豈有他境、較爾境尤延袤、

以色列族被虜、亞述王使人自巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈末、西法瓦音、至撒馬利亞諸邑、據其地、居其城、

哈抹、亞八、西法瓦音、希拿、以瓦列王安在。

在大馬色亞哩達王之邑長守城、欲執我、

耶和華曰、大馬色人犯罪、至三至四、更以鐵器擊基列民人、故我必罰其罪、火焚哈泄家、燬便哈達之宮殿。又曰、我將破大馬色之關、誅必甲亞文之居民、戮伯埃田之執政、遷亞蘭人於吉地。

於是稱英武、猛若獅者、風聞乎此、必喪其膽、蓋以色列族皆知爾父為豪傑、侍從亦英武。

日月星辰、必有異象、地上諸國、困苦顛連、海波漰湱、世所必至者、人人危懼、至於喪膽、天象震動故也、

求書、往大馬色、入諸會堂、凡從耶穌道之男女、遇則繫解耶路撒冷、

偕行者使民喪膽、惟我竭忠遵從我上帝耶和華。

族長亦必告民曰、有人畏葸怯心、則必旋歸、恐其同儕喪膽、與彼無異。

以賽亞以大馬色之事、得之默示者、述於左、萬有之主耶和華云、大馬色之邑、將為瓦礫、亞囉耳之邑、將為荒蕪、群羊在彼、或寢或訛、無人驅之、以法蓮之城垣將毀、大馬色、亞蘭國必喪、如以色列族之榮華、歸於烏有。

維彼舟子、倏而隨之起、有若升於穹蒼、倏而隨之下、有若墮於海底兮、因其危險、厥魂喪失兮、搖撼不定、譬彼醉人、無所施其技兮、

昔哈末王陀以與哈大底泄戰、今聞大闢已擊其軍旅、則遣子約蘭攜金銀銅器、往見大闢王、慶賀而祝之。

數日不見日星、大風愈迫、得拯之望已絕、

耶和華有命曰、我必降災於哈得臘地大馬色邑、使以色列支派、及眾庶、仰望我耶和華、鄰邑哈末、推羅、西頓、雖有智慧、亦必遭難、

行時、耶穌寢、湖中颶風驟下、舟中水滿、危甚、門徒醒之曰、夫子、夫子、我儕亡矣、耶穌起、斥風浪、即止而平息矣、

大闢殺鎖巴人、其時哩遜集人成群、而為其長、往大馬色、據其國而治理。
