故爾宜聽耶和華所定攻以東之謀、擊提幔居民之志、其羣之小者、敵必曳之去、使其草場荒寂、

我耶和華已定厥志、欲攻以東、降罰提慢、即羊之小者、亦得而欺之、使其居處荒蕪。

今當聽主為以東所立之謀、為提幔所定之命、敵人必曳之如弱小之羊、使其居處、盡屬荒蕪、

Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Edom, what he has purposed against those who live in Teman: The young of the flock will be dragged away; their pasture will be appalled at their fate.

So listen to what the Lord has planned against the people of Edom. Hear what he has planned against those who live in Teman. Edom’s young people will be dragged away. Their grasslands will be shocked at their fate.

Therefore hear the plan that the Lord has made against Edom and the purposes that he has formed against the inhabitants of Teman: Even the little ones of the flock shall be dragged away. Surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.

Listen to the Lord’s plans against Edom and the people of Teman. Even the little children will be dragged off like sheep, and their homes will be destroyed.

Therefore hear the plan of the Lord which He has planned against Edom, and His purposes which He has in mind against the inhabitants of Teman: they will certainly drag them off, even the little ones of the flock; He will certainly make their pasture desolate because of them.

Therefore hear ye the counsel of Jehovah, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they shall drag them away, even the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.

The caravans of Tema look for these streams. The traveling merchants of Sheba hope for them.They are ashamed because they had been confident of finding water. When they arrive there, they are disappointed.

I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: my plan will take place, and I will do all my will.I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for my purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart from generation to generation.

So he answered me,“ This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by strength or by might, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD of Armies.

“ Edom will become a desolation. Everyone who passes by her will be appalled and scoff because of all her wounds.As when Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown along with their neighbors,” says the LORD,“ no one will live there; no human being will stay in it even temporarily.

The LORD of Armies has sworn: As I have purposed, so it will be; as I have planned it, so it will happen.I will break Assyria in my land; I will tread him down on my mountain. Then his yoke will be taken from them, and his burden will be removed from their shoulders.This is the plan prepared for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out against all the nations.The LORD of Armies himself has planned it; therefore, who can stand in its way?
