Terror, pits, and traps are in store for the people who live in Moab. I, the LORD, affirm it!

耶和华说：“摩押的居民哪，恐惧、陷坑、网罗都临近你。

摩押人啊！你们要充满恐惧，陷入深坑和网罗。这是耶和华说的。

摩押的居民哪！恐惧、陷阱、圈套都落在你们身上了。”这是耶和华的宣告。

永恆主發神諭說：摩押的居民哪，恐怖、陷坑、機檻、都臨到你身上了！

耶和華曰、摩押居民歟、驚駭坎阱機檻、悉臨於爾、

耶和華又曰、予以驚懼、坎阱機檻、罰摩押人、

主曰、摩押居民歟、驚懼之事必臨爾、爾必陷於坎阱網羅、

Terror and pit and snare await you, you people of Moab,” declares the Lord.

Terror, pit, and snare are before you, O inhabitant of Moab! declares the Lord.

“ Terror and traps and snares will be your lot, O Moab,” says the Lord.

Panic, pit, and trap await you, resident of Moab. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.

Panic, pit, and trap await you, resident of Moab. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Terror, the pit, and the snare are on you, inhabitant of Moab,” says Yahweh.

Panic and pitfall have come upon us, devastation and destruction.

Terror, pit, and snare are ready to overtake you inhabitants of the earth!The one who runs away from the sound of the terror will fall into the pit; the one who climbs out of the pit, will be trapped by the snare. For the floodgates of the heavens are opened up and the foundations of the earth shake.

May the LORD rain down burning coals and brimstone on the wicked! A whirlwind is what they deserve!

I will increase their disasters, I will use up my arrows on them.They will be starved by famine, eaten by plague, and bitterly stung; I will send the teeth of wild animals against them, along with the poison of creatures that crawl in the dust.The sword will make people childless outside, and terror will do so inside; they will destroy both the young man and the virgin, the infant and the gray-haired man.
