怎麼啦！我看見他們都驚慌，轉身退後呀！他們的勇士被擊敗了，倉倉皇皇逃跑，並不回頭呀！四圍盡是恐怖！永恆主發神諭說。

耶和華曰、我奚見此哉、彼眾驚而卻退、勇士敗潰、急遁不顧其後、四周惶恐、

耶和華曰、我觀其喪膽敗北、四周畏懼、武士戰北、逃遁維速、不顧其後。

主曰、我觀其喪膽退後、勇士潰敗、急於奔逃、並不回顧、四望驚惶、何故也、

What do I see? They are terrified, they are retreating, their warriors are defeated. They flee in haste without looking back, and there is terror on every side,” declares the Lord.

人要夺去他们的帐棚和羊群，人要带走他们的幔子、一切器皿，和骆驼，占为己有。人向他们喊着说：四围都有惊吓。

你们不要出到田野去，也不要行走在路上，因四围有仇敌的刀剑和惊吓。

它的佣兵好像圈里的肥牛犊，他们转身退后，一齐逃跑，站立不住；因为他们遭难的日子、受罚的时刻已经来临。

尼尼微自古以来如同聚水的池子；现在居民都在逃跑。“站住！站住！”却无人回转。

我听见许多的毁谤，四围都是惊吓；连我知己朋友都看着我跌倒：“告他吧，我们要告他！或者他被引诱，我们就能胜他，在他身上报仇。”

因为主使亚兰人的军队听见战车战马的声音，大军的声音，他们就彼此说：“看哪，这必是以色列王雇用赫人诸王和埃及诸王来攻击我们。”所以，在黄昏的时候他们起来逃跑，撇下帐棚、马、驴，把军营留在原处，只顾逃命。

你的壮士为何被扫除呢？他们站立不住，因为耶和华驱逐他们；

当我在他们面前举起我的刀，我要使许多民族因你惊恐，他们的君王也必因你极其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他们各人为自己的性命时时战兢。

领他们出来以后，就说：“逃命吧！不可回头看，也不可在平原站住。要往山上逃跑，免得你被剿灭。”

地上的君王、臣宰、将军、富户、壮士，和一切为奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和岩石穴里，向山和岩石说：“倒在我们身上吧！把我们藏起来，躲避坐宝座者的脸面和羔羊的愤怒；因为他们遭愤怒的大日子到了，谁能站得住呢？”

到那日，埃及必像妇人一样，因万军之耶和华挥手攻击而战兢惧怕。

次日，巴施户珥开枷释放耶利米。于是耶利米对他说：“耶和华不叫你的名为巴施户珥，而叫你玛歌珥‧米撒毕，因耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我要使你和你的众朋友惊吓；你们要亲眼看见他们倒在仇敌的刀下。我必将犹大人全都交在巴比伦王的手中，他要把他们掳到巴比伦去，用刀杀他们。
