“萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你們都親眼看見我降在耶路撒冷和猶大各城的一切災禍。看哪！那些城鎮今天仍然荒涼，沒有人居住，

“万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：我所降与耶路撒冷和犹大各城的一切灾祸你们都看见了。那些城邑今日荒凉，无人居住；

“万军之耶和华—以色列的上帝如此说：我所降与耶路撒冷和犹大各城的一切灾祸，你们都看见了。看哪，那些城镇今日荒凉，无人居住；

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我所降於耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑之災、爾目睹之、今為荒蕪、無人居處、

萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、我已降災於耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、今日俱荒蕪、無人居處、爾所目睹、

“ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You saw the great disaster I brought on Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah. Today they lie deserted and in ruins

The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He said,“ You saw all the trouble I brought on Jerusalem. I also brought it on all the towns in Judah. Today they lie there deserted and destroyed.

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the disaster that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them,

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: You saw the calamity I brought on Jerusalem and all the towns of Judah. They now lie deserted and in ruins.

“ This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: You have seen all the disaster I brought against Jerusalem and all Judah’s cities. Look, they are a ruin today without an inhabitant in them

“ This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ You yourselves have seen all the disaster that I have brought on Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are in ruins and no one lives in them,

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:‘ You have seen all the calamity that I have brought on Jerusalem and on all the cities of Judah; and behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them,

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

“ This is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: You have seen all the disaster I brought against Jerusalem and all Judah’s cities; look, they are a ruin today without an inhabitant in them

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they[ are] a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ You have seen all the disaster I brought on Jerusalem and all the towns of Judah. Indeed, they now lie in ruins and are deserted.

“ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ You have seen all the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, and on all the cities of Judah. Behold, today they are a desolation, and no man dwells in them,

於是我說：“主啊，這要到幾時為止呢？”他回答說：“直到城鎮荒涼，無人居住；房屋空置無人，地土廢棄荒涼。

看哪！我必下令，使他們回到這城來；他們必攻打、奪取這城，用火焚燒；我必使猶大的城鎮都荒涼，沒有人居住。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

“我要使耶路撒冷變成亂堆，成為野狗的巢穴；我要使猶大的城市荒涼，無人居住。”

所以，為你們的緣故，錫安必像被耕種的田地，耶路撒冷必變為亂堆，這殿的山要成為叢林中的高岡。

獅子從牠的密林中上來了，毀壞列國的已經動身，從他的本處出發，為要使你的地荒涼，使你的城市破毀，無人居住。

然而我吩咐我的僕人眾先知的話與條例，不是已報應在你們的列祖身上嗎？所以他們就回轉，說：萬軍之耶和華定意按著我們所作所行的對付我們，他已經這樣行了。’”

我要使地荒涼，連住在那裡的仇敵也驚奇。我要把你們分散在萬國中，我又拔出刀來追趕你們；你們的地成為荒涼，你們的城市變成荒場。

為了這些事我不住哭泣，我的眼不住流下淚水；因為那安慰我、使我重新振作的，都遠離了我。我的兒女孤單淒涼，因為仇敵得勝了。

耶和華再不能容忍你們邪惡的行為，和你們所行可憎的事；故此，你們的土地荒涼，成了令人驚駭、被人咒詛的對象，沒有人居住，好像今天一樣。

城門所剩下的只有荒涼，城門被撞得粉碎。

因為錫安山荒涼，野狗就在山上到處出沒。

摩西把以色列眾人召了來，對他們說：“耶和華在埃及地，在你們面前，向法老和他的眾臣僕，以及他的全國所行的一切，你們都看見了，（本節在《馬索拉文本》為29:1）

猶大王西底家第九年十月，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領他的全軍來攻擊耶路撒冷，把城圍困起來。西底家第十一年四月九日，城被攻破。巴比倫王所有的將領：尼甲．沙利薛、三甲．尼波、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明確）撒西金、術士長（“術士長”的本意不明確）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比倫王所有其餘的將領，都進城，坐在中門。猶大王西底家和所有的軍兵看見了他們，就逃跑，在夜間逃出城外，經過王的花園，穿過兩道城牆中間的門，直往亞拉巴的路上走去。但迦勒底人的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥的原野上追上了西底家，把他拿住，帶到哈馬地的利比拉去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒；尼布甲尼撒就宣判他的罪狀。巴比倫王在利比拉，當著西底家眼前殺了他的眾子；巴比倫王也殺了猶大所有的顯貴，並且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用銅鍊鎖住他，把他帶到巴比倫去。迦勒底人放火焚燒王宮和民房，又拆毀了耶路撒冷的城牆。

這地要全變為荒廢，令人驚駭；這些國家要服事巴比倫王七十年。

耶和華你們的神，因你們的緣故，向那些國家所行的一切事，你們都親眼看見了；因為耶和華你們的神為你們作戰。

那時，我必在猶大的城市中和耶路撒冷的街道上，使歡欣和快樂的聲音、新郎和新婦的聲音止息，因為這地必要變為荒場。”

從前人煙稠密的城中，現在怎麼竟然孤獨地坐在那裡。從前在列國中為大的，現在怎麼竟然像個寡婦。從前在眾省份中為王后的，現在怎麼竟然成了奴隸。

他們會離開這地，地在荒涼無人的時候，就可以享受安息，同時他們要接受他們罪孽的刑罰，因為他們棄絕了我的典章，他們的心厭棄了我的律例。

我要用量度撒瑪利亞的準繩和測試亞哈家的鉛錘，測量耶路撒冷；我要抹淨耶路撒冷，像人抹淨盤子一樣。抹完了，就把盤子翻轉過來。

你的聖城變了曠野，錫安成了曠野，耶路撒冷成了荒場。我們那聖潔和榮美的殿，就是我們的列祖讚美你的所在，被火燒了。我們所喜愛的一切，都成了廢墟。

‘我向埃及人所行的，你們都看見了；也看見了我怎樣像鷹一樣把你們背在翅膀上，帶領你們到我這裡來。
