Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in the prison- house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel; and because of Midian the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds.

Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them are fallen at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.

When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait( for the people were distressed), then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in coverts, and in pits.

And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet. Now David and his men were abiding in the innermost parts of the cave.

And these five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.And Joshua said, Roll great stones unto the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to keep them:

And both of them disclosed themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come forth out of the holes where they had hid themselves.

Likewise all the men of Israel that had hid themselves in the hill- country of Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.
