However, before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added,“ Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the towns of Judah, and live with him among the people, or go anywhere else you please.” Then the commander gave him provisions and a present and let him go.

But before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan continued,“ Go back to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam. The king of Babylon has appointed Gedaliah to be over the towns of Judah. Go and live with him among your people. Or go anywhere else you want to.” Ahikam was the son of Shaphan. The commander gave Jeremiah food and water. He also gave him a gift. Then he let Jeremiah go.

If you remain, then return to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon appointed governor of the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people. Or go wherever you think it right to go.” So the captain of the guard gave him an allowance of food and a present, and let him go.

If you decide to stay, then return to Gedaliah son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan. He has been appointed governor of Judah by the king of Babylon. Stay there with the people he rules. But it’s up to you; go wherever you like.” Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, gave Jeremiah some food and money and let him go.

When Jeremiah had not yet turned to go, Nebuzaradan said to him,“ Return to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the cities of Judah, and stay with him among the people or go wherever it seems right for you to go.” So the captain of the guards gave him a ration and a gift and released him.

Go back and live with him among the people. Or go wherever else you choose.” Then the captain of the guard gave Jeremiah some food and a present and let him go.

Now while he had not yet gone back,“ Go back then,” he said,“ to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go.” So the captain of the guard gave him food and a present, and let him go.

一天，以利沙到了大马士革。当时亚兰王便·哈达正在生病，他得知上帝的仆人来了，便对哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见上帝的仆人，请他求问耶和华，看看我这病能否痊愈。”哈薛用四十头骆驼驮着大马士革的各种美物前去拜见以利沙。到了那里，他站在以利沙面前说：“你儿子亚兰王便·哈达派我来问你，他的病能否痊愈？”

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和同来的十个人突然起来拔刀杀了巴比伦王委任管理犹大的沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，

吩咐希勒迦祭司、沙番的儿子亚希甘、米该亚的儿子亚革波、书记沙番和王的臣仆亚撒雅：

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒任命基大利治理犹大的余民。基大利是沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子。犹大众将领和他们的下属听到巴比伦王委任基大利治理犹大的消息后，便都到米斯巴见基大利。他们是尼探雅的儿子以实玛利、加利亚的儿子约哈难、尼陀法人单户篾的儿子西莱雅、玛迦人雅撒尼亚。基大利向他们和他们的下属发誓，说：“你们不用害怕那些迦勒底官员。你们住在这地方服侍巴比伦王，就会平安无事。”

人所行的若蒙耶和华喜悦，耶和华必使仇敌与他和好。

第二天，船停泊在西顿港，犹流宽待保罗，准他探望当地的朋友，接受他们的照应。

这以斯拉是位律法教师，精通以色列的上帝耶和华赐下的摩西律法。他的上帝耶和华帮助他，使王批准他的一切要求。

人遭贬抑时，你说，‘使他们升高吧。’上帝就会拯救他们，

然而，沙番的儿子亚希甘保护耶利米，他才没被交给民众处死。

于是，希勒迦祭司、亚希甘、亚革波、沙番和亚撒雅去求问女先知户勒妲。她是负责管理礼服的沙龙的妻子，沙龙是哈珥哈斯的孙子、特瓦的儿子。户勒妲住在耶路撒冷第二区。他们向她说明来意。

王问我：“你有什么要求？”我向天上的上帝祷告后，回答说：“如果王认为好，如果仆人在王面前蒙恩，请王派我到犹大，重建我祖坟所在的城邑。”当时王后坐在王的旁边，王问我：“你要去多久？什么时候回来？”我告诉王一个日期，王欣然批准。我又说：“如果王认为好，求王赐我诏书，通知河西省长准我经过前往犹大。求王再发一道诏书，通知管理王室园林的亚萨，吩咐他供给我木材，用来做圣殿堡垒的门梁及建造城墙和我住的房子。”王批准了我的请求，因为我的上帝施恩帮助我。

现在我解除你手上的锁链，释放你。你可以跟我去巴比伦，我必善待你；如果你不想去，也可以。你看，整片土地都在你眼前，你想去哪里都可以。

这样，我们可以放胆地说：“主是我的帮助，我必不惧怕，人能把我怎么样？”

主啊，求你侧耳听你仆人的祷告，垂听那些喜爱敬畏你名的众仆人的祈求，使你仆人今天亨通，在王面前蒙恩。”我是王的侍酒总管。

耶和华说：“我必拯救你，我必使仇敌在灾祸、困难来临时哀求你。

他们处处尊敬我们，在我们启航的时候，又赠送我们途中所需用的物品。

耶和华掌管君王的心，易如支配垄沟的流水。

犹大王约雅斤被掳后第三十七年，即巴比伦王以未·米罗达元年十二月二十五日，巴比伦王恩待约雅斤，释放了他，并好言相待，使他的地位高过被掳到巴比伦的其他各王。约雅斤脱去了囚服，终生与巴比伦王一起吃饭。在他有生之年，巴比伦王供应他每天的需用，直到他去世。
