約有四萬帶兵器的軍隊在耶和華面前過去，到耶利哥的平原，準備上陣。

猶大王西底家必不能逃脫迦勒底人的手，定要交在巴比倫王手中，他要親眼看到巴比倫王，親口跟他說話。巴比倫王要將西底家帶到巴比倫；西底家必住在那裏，直到我懲罰他的時候。你們雖與迦勒底人爭戰，卻不順利。這是耶和華說的。』」

「人必將你的后妃和你的兒女帶到迦勒底人那裏；你也不得脫離他們的手，必被巴比倫王的手捉住，這城也必被火焚燒。」

尼布撒拉旦護衛長把這些人帶到利比拉的巴比倫王那裏。巴比倫王擊殺他們，在哈馬地的利比拉把他們處死。這樣，猶大人就被擄去離開本地。

你若不歸順巴比倫王的官長，這城必交在迦勒底人手中。他們必用火焚燒，你也不得脫離他們的手。」

亞述王從巴比倫、古他、亞瓦、哈馬和西法瓦音遷移人來，安置在撒瑪利亞的城鎮，代替以色列人；他們就佔據了撒瑪利亞，住在城中。

還有迦巴勒人的地，以及向日出方向的黎巴嫩全地，從黑門山下的巴力‧迦得，直到哈馬口；

哈馬王陀以聽見大衛擊敗哈大底謝的全軍，

迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到利比拉的巴比倫王那裏；他們就判他的罪。

耶和華的受膏者是我們鼻中的氣，被抓到他們的坑裏，論到他，我們曾說：「我們必在他蔭下，在列國中存活。」

所以耶和華使亞述王的將領來攻擊他們，用手銬銬住瑪拿西，用銅鏈鎖住他，把他帶到巴比倫去。

猶大被擄，遭遇苦難，多服勞役。她住在列國中，得不着安息；追逼她的在狹窄之地追上她。

留下的有非利士的五個領袖，所有的迦南人，西頓人，以及從巴力‧黑門山到哈馬口，住黎巴嫩山的希未人。

他卻背叛巴比倫王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人給他馬匹和許多人。他豈能亨通呢？這樣做的人豈能逃脫呢？他背了約豈能逃脫呢？主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在巴比倫，就是巴比倫王所在之處；因為巴比倫王立他為王，他竟輕看向王所起的誓，背棄王與他所立的約。當敵人建土堆，築堡壘，要殲滅許多人時，法老雖有強大軍隊和大批人馬，在戰場上還是不能幫助他。他輕看誓言，背棄盟約，看哪，雖已投降，卻又做這一切的事，他必不能逃脫。所以主耶和華如此說：我指着我的永生起誓，他既輕看我的誓言，背棄我的約，我必使這罪歸到他頭上。我要把我的網撒在他身上，他就被我的羅網纏住。我要帶他到巴比倫，在那裏因他背叛我的罪懲罰他。所有逃跑的軍隊必倒在刀下；剩餘的也必分散四方。你們就知道說這話的是我－耶和華。」

又有一陣比這更大的風向我颳來；現在，我要向他們宣讀我的判決。」
