And Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard until the day Jerusalem was captured. This is how Jerusalem was taken:

于是，西底迦王下令把耶利米囚在护卫兵的院子里，派人每天从饼铺取一个饼给他，直到城中绝粮。耶利米就这样住在护卫兵的院子里。

便派人把耶利米从护卫兵的院子提出来，让沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利带他回家。从此，耶利米就生活在百姓当中。

我要使你成为坚固的铜墙，他们要攻击你，却不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，我会保护你，拯救你。这是耶和华说的。我要把你从恶人手中救出，从残暴之徒的权势下赎回。”

我纵使走过死亡的幽谷，也不怕遭害，因为你与我同在，你的杖和竿带给我安慰。

他们便把耶利米从池中拉上来拘留在护卫兵的院子里。

然而主站在我身旁加给我力量，使我可以把福音清楚地传给外族人。主把我从狮子口里救了出来。主必救我脱离一切凶险，带我进入祂的天国。愿荣耀归给上帝，直到永永远远。阿们！

也知道我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得遭遇了何等的迫害和苦难。但主从这一切患难中救了我。
