Then King Zedekiah sent word and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance that is in the house of the Lord; and the king said to Jeremiah,“ I am going to ask you something; do not hide anything from me.”

Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and had him brought to the third entrance to the temple of the Lord.“ I am going to ask you something,” the king said to Jeremiah.“ Do not hide anything from me.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance of the house of the Lord. And the king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

Some time later Zedekiah sent and had Jeremiah brought to him at the third entrance of the LORD’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah,“ I would like to ask you a question. Do not hide anything from me when you answer.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent and took Jeremiah the prophet to himself into the third entry that is in Yahweh’s house. Then the king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

He said,“ What is the word that He spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. May God do the same to you, and more so, if you hide a single word from me of all the words that He spoke to you!”So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said,“ He is the Lord; let Him do what seems good to Him.”

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying,“ Please inquire of the Lord in our behalf, because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us; perhaps the Lord will deal with us in accordance with all His wonderful acts, so that the enemy will withdraw from us.”

Then the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear that you will tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

For you have only deceived yourselves; for it is you who sent me to the Lord your God, saying,“ Pray for us to the Lord our God; and whatever the Lord our God says, tell us so, and we will do it.”

Now King Zedekiah sent men and took him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him and said,“ Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said,“ There is!” Then he said,“ You will be handed over to the king of Babylon!”

and said to Jeremiah the prophet,“ Please let our pleading come before you, and pray for us to the Lord your God for all this remnant— since we have been left only a few out of many, just as your own eyes now see us—that the Lord your God will tell us the way in which we should walk, and the thing that we should do.”Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them,“ I have heard you. Behold, I am going to pray to the Lord your God in accordance with your words; and I will tell you the whole message which the Lord gives you as an answer. I will not withhold a word from you.”Then they said to Jeremiah,“ May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with the whole message with which the Lord your God will send you to us.

And the covered way for the Sabbath which they had built in the house, and the outer entry of the king, he removed from the house of the Lord because of the king of Assyria.

and the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and his burnt offerings which he offered at the house of the Lord, she was breathless.

Then the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear that you will tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”
