Elnathan, the son of Akbor, was also there. So was Gemariah, the son of Shaphan. Zedekiah, the son of Hananiah, was there too. And so were all the other officials.

He went down to the chamber of the royal secretary in the king’s palace and found all the court officials in session there. Elishama the royal secretary, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Achbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son of Hananiah, and all the other officials were seated there.

约雅敬王打发人到埃及去，就是派亚革波的儿子以利拿单和一些人同到埃及去。

虽然以利拿单、第莱雅和基玛利雅恳求王不要烧这书卷，王却不听他们，

王又吩咐希勒家祭司、沙番的儿子亚希甘、米该亚的儿子亚革博、书记沙番和王的臣仆及亚撒雅说：

但在七月的时候，王裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，也是王的一位大臣，带了十个人和他一起到米斯巴去见亚希甘的儿子基大利；他们在米斯巴一起吃饭的时候，

众领袖把书卷存在书记以利沙玛的房间里，然后进内院去见王，把这一切话都禀告给王听。于是王差派犹底去把书卷拿来；犹底就从书记以利沙玛的房间里把书卷取来，向王和所有侍立在王左右的领袖宣读。

巴录就在耶和华的殿里，向众民宣读书上耶利米的话。那时他是在沙番的儿子书记基玛利雅的房间里，这房间是在上院，靠近耶和华殿里新门的入口。沙番的孙子基玛利雅的儿子米该亚，听见了书上耶和华的一切话，

于是希勒家祭司、亚希甘、亚革博、沙番、亚撒雅去见女先知户勒大。她就是掌管礼服的沙龙的妻子，沙龙是哈珥哈斯的孙子、特瓦的儿子。她住在耶路撒冷第二区；他们就把事情都告诉了她。

约雅斤登基的时候是十八岁，他在耶路撒冷作王三个月；他母亲名叫尼护施他，是耶路撒冷人以利拿单的女儿。

约西亚在位第十八年，王差派米书兰的孙子、亚萨利的儿子、书记沙番到耶和华的殿，吩咐他说：

当年，就是犹大王西底家开始执政的第四年五月，基遍人押朔的儿子哈拿尼雅先知，在耶和华殿中，当着祭司和众民的面前对我说：“万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘我已经折断了巴比伦王的轭。在两年之内，我必把耶和华殿中的一切器皿，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒从这地方掠到巴比伦去的，都带回这地方。我也必把犹大王约雅敬的儿子耶哥尼雅，和所有被掳到巴比伦去的犹大人，都带回这地方，因为我必折断巴比伦王的轭。’这是耶和华的宣告。”耶利米先知当着祭司和站在耶和华殿里的众民面前，对哈拿尼雅先知说：“阿们！愿耶和华这样行，愿耶和华使你预言的话应验，把耶和华殿中的器皿和所有被掳的人，都从巴比伦带回这地方来。不过，你应该听我向你和众民耳中所说的这话。自古以来，在你我以前的先知，已经预言有战争、灾祸和瘟疫要临到许多地方和强国。但预言平安的先知，除非他的话应验，人才会承认他确实是耶和华所差遣的先知。”于是哈拿尼雅先知把耶利米先知颈项上的轭取下来，折断了。哈拿尼雅又当着众民面前说：“耶和华这样说：‘两年之内，我必这样从列国的颈项上，折断巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的轭。’”于是耶利米先知就走了。哈拿尼雅先知把耶利米先知颈项上的轭折断了以后，耶和华的话就临到耶利米，说：“你去告诉哈拿尼雅说：‘耶和华这样说：你折断了木轭，却要换来铁轭。因为万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：我要把铁轭套在这些国家的颈项上，使他们服事巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒；他们要服事他，连田野的走兽，我也交给他了。’”耶利米先知就对哈拿尼雅先知说：“哈拿尼雅啊！你要听，耶和华并没有差遣你，你竟使这人民信靠谎言。因此耶和华这样说：‘看哪！我必使你离开人世；你今年一定死，因为你说了悖逆耶和华的话。’”这样，在当年七月，哈拿尼雅先知就死了。
