Also you must never build houses, sow seed or plant vineyards; you must never have any of these things, but must always live in tents. Then you will live a long time in the land where you are nomads.’

以福許人之首誡、曰、敬爾父母、則受福享壽於世、

及其長也、以掃善獵、遨遊於野、雅各柔懦、居處於幕。

敬爾父母、則可於耶和華爾上帝所賜之地、而享遐齡。

勿酗酒蕩檢、惟感以聖神、

為旅於上帝許賜之地、猶在異邦、以撒雅各亦蒙上帝所許、與亞伯拉罕各居於幕、俟上帝所建造鞏固之邑、撒拉有信、雖老、上帝賜之懷妊誕育、以為所許者言出惟行、是以一人血氣雖衰、生育蕃衍、如眾星之在天、猶海沙之無量、此皆有信、雖至沒、不得所許之福、第遙望欣喜以晉接、自謂於世若賓旅、

凡我良朋為羈旅、我勸爾去私欲、欲戰於中、足害爾魂、

凡爾宗族、居處是廬、必歷七日、俾爾子孫永憶弗忘、我導爾出埃及時、曾使爾居廬也、我耶和華爾之上帝所命如此。

惟居帷幕、以遵我祖約拿撻之命。

律書載耶和華命摩西云、於七月節、以色列族當居於廬。於是布告耶路撒冷、及諸邑中曰、爾往於山、取橄欖油木、岡拈、棗樹、喬木之枝幹、以搆斯廬、循其常例。民遂往、取枝作廬、在屋巔、院內、上帝殿院、或在水門衢、或在以法蓮門衢。
