The LORD God of Israel told Jeremiah to go and give King Zedekiah of Judah a message. He told Jeremiah to tell him,“ The LORD says,‘ I am going to hand this city over to the king of Babylon and he will burn it down.

“耶和华以色列的神说，你去告诉犹大王西底家，耶和华如此说：‘我要将这城交付巴比伦王的手，他必用火焚烧。

“耶和华—以色列的上帝说，你去告诉犹大王西底家，耶和华如此说：看哪，我要把这城交在巴比伦王的手中，他必用火焚烧。

“耶和华—以色列的神说，你去告诉犹大王西底家，耶和华如此说：看哪，我要把这城交在巴比伦王的手中，他必用火焚烧。

“你去告诉犹大王西底迦，以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘看啊，我要把这城交在巴比伦王的手中，使它被付之一炬。

“耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘你去告诉犹大王西底家说：耶和华这样说：看哪！我要把这城交在巴比伦王的手中，他要用火烧城。

「耶和華－以色列的神說，你去告訴猶大王西底家，耶和華如此說：我要將這城交付巴比倫王的手，他必用火焚燒。

「耶和華－以色列的上帝說，你去告訴猶大王西底家，耶和華如此說：看哪，我要把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他必用火焚燒。

「耶和華－以色列的神說，你去告訴猶大王西底家，耶和華如此說：看哪，我要把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他必用火焚燒。

「你去告訴猶大王西底迦，以色列的上帝耶和華說，『看啊，我要把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，使它被付之一炬。

“耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘你去告訴猶大王西底家說：耶和華這樣說：看哪！我要把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他要用火燒城。

『永恆主以色列之上帝這麼說：你去告訴猶大王西底家說：「永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必將這城交在巴比倫王手中，使他放火燒它。

以色列之上帝耶和華曰、往告猶大王西底家曰、耶和華云、我必付是邑於巴比倫王手、彼將焚之以火、

主以色列之天主如是云、爾往見猶大王西底家、告之曰、主如是云、我將付斯邑於巴比倫王手、必以火焚燬、

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Go to Zedekiah king of Judah and tell him,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am about to give this city into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it down.

“ I am the Lord, the God of Israel. Go to Zedekiah, the king of Judah. Tell him,‘ The Lord says,“ I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon. He will burn it down.

“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

“ Go to King Zedekiah of Judah, and tell him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it down.

“ This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Go, speak to King Zedekiah of Judah, and tell him,‘ This is what the LORD says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it.

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and say to him,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am handing this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.

“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel:‘ Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah and tell him,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Go, and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:

“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Go, speak to Zedekiah, king of Judah, and tell him: This is what the Lord says: I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will burn it down.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:

“ Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ Go, and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire.

For I, the LORD, say that I am determined not to deliver this city but to bring disaster on it. It will be handed over to the king of Babylon and he will destroy it with fire.’”

For I, the LORD, affirm that I will soon give the order and bring them back to this city. They will fight against it and capture it and burn it down. I will also make the towns of Judah desolate so that there will be no one living in them.”’”

For King Zedekiah had confined Jeremiah there after he had reproved him for prophesying as he did. He had asked Jeremiah,“ Why do you keep prophesying these things? Why do you keep saying that the LORD says,‘ I will hand this city over to the king of Babylon? I will let him capture it.

The LORD told me,“ Go down to the palace of the king of Judah. Give him a message from me there.Say:‘ Listen, O king of Judah who follows in David’s succession. You, your officials, and your subjects who pass through the gates of this palace must listen to what the LORD says.

Then the Babylonian forces will return. They will attack the city and will capture it and burn it down.Moreover, I, the LORD, warn you not to deceive yourselves into thinking that the Babylonian forces will go away and leave you alone. For they will not go away.For even if you were to defeat all the Babylonian forces fighting against you so badly that only wounded men were left lying in their tents, they would get up and burn this city down.”’”

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he ruled for eleven years in Jerusalem.He did evil in the sight of the LORD his God. He did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, the LORD’s spokesman.

The Babylonians burned down the royal palace, the temple of the LORD, and the people’s homes, and they tore down the wall of Jerusalem.

Therefore I, the LORD, say:‘ I will indeed hand this city over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonian army. They will capture it.The Babylonian soldiers that are attacking this city will break into it and set it on fire. They will burn it down along with the houses where people have made me angry by offering sacrifices to the god Baal and by pouring out drink offerings to other gods on their rooftops.

Zedekiah son of Josiah succeeded Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim as king. He was elevated to the throne of the land of Judah by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.Neither he nor the officials who served him nor the people of Judah paid any attention to what the LORD said through the prophet Jeremiah.King Zedekiah sent Jehucal son of Shelemiah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah to the prophet Jeremiah. He told them to say,“ Please pray to the LORD our God on our behalf.”( Now Jeremiah had not yet been put in prison. So he was still free to come and go among the people as he pleased.

that the LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘ The forces at your disposal are now outside the walls fighting against King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the Babylonians who have you under siege. I will gather those forces back inside the city.

“ All your wives and your children will be turned over to the Babylonians. You yourself will not escape from them but will be captured by the king of Babylon. This city will be burned down.”
