Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

我們的敵人和周圍各國聽說後，都感到懼怕和氣餒，因為他們知道這工作是在上帝的幫助下完成的。

你的上帝耶和華與你同在，祂是大能的拯救者，祂必因你而歡喜快樂，歡然歌唱，用祂的愛安慰你。」「我必招聚你那裡因不能守節期而憂愁的人，使你不再蒙受羞辱。看啊，那時我必懲罰所有欺壓你的人，拯救瘸腿的，召回分散的，使他們的羞辱化為尊榮，聲名遠播。那時，我必招聚你們，帶你們回到故土。你們回到故土後，我必使你們在天下萬民中聲名遠播，得到尊榮。」這是耶和華說的。

我們笑聲不止，歡呼歌唱。列邦都說：「耶和華為他們成就了偉大的事。」耶和華實在為我們成就了偉大的事，我們充滿了喜樂。

之後，以色列人將回心轉意，尋求他們的上帝耶和華，歸向他們的君王大衛。在末後的日子，他們將懷著敬畏的心歸向耶和華，領受祂的恩惠。

那時，耶路撒冷會被稱為『耶和華的寶座』，萬國都要聚集在耶路撒冷敬拜耶和華，不再執迷不悟地作惡。

以色列人啊，我要重建你們的家園，你們要再次拿起鈴鼓與歡樂的人一同跳舞。

耶哥尼雅王、太后、宮廷侍臣、猶大和耶路撒冷的官員、技工和工匠被尼布甲尼撒王擄到巴比倫後，耶利米先知從耶路撒冷寄信給被擄之人中倖存的長老、先知和眾民。

你們為什麼在埃及向別的神明燒香，惹我發怒，自招毀滅，成為天下萬國咒詛和羞辱的對象呢？

「看啊，我要使耶路撒冷成為令周圍萬民昏醉的酒杯。耶路撒冷被圍困時，猶大也必受困。

列國看見這一切，都必因自己勢力衰微而羞愧，都必用手捂口，耳朵變聾。他們要像蛇一樣舔土，又如地上的爬蟲，戰戰兢兢地走出營寨；他們必畏懼我們的上帝耶和華，他們必對你充滿恐懼。

各族的人和各城的居民都必來這裡。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。這一城的居民必到那一城，說，我們快去向耶和華求恩，去尋求萬軍之耶和華吧！我自己也去。各民族和各強國必來耶路撒冷尋求萬軍之耶和華，向耶和華求恩。那時，十個來自列國、講不同語言的人必拉住一個猶大人的衣角，說，讓我們跟你們同去吧，因為我們聽說上帝與你們同在。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。』」

列邦列國聽聞耶和華打敗了以色列的敵人，都很懼怕。

各邦各族聽見這些事就發抖，非利士人也痛苦不堪，以東的族長惶恐，摩押的英雄顫慄，迦南的居民都膽戰心驚。驚駭恐懼籠罩著他們。耶和華啊，你臂膀的大能嚇得他們僵立如石，直到你的子民都安然走過，直到你買贖的子民都安然走過。

各省各城，凡諭旨所到之處，猶太人都歡喜快樂，設宴慶祝。許多當地人因懼怕猶太人而入了猶太籍。

耶路撒冷啊，列國必看見你的公義，列王必看見你的榮耀，耶和華必親口賜你一個新名字。你必成為耶和華手中的華冠，你上帝手上的榮冕。

我必使這殿像示羅一樣被毀，使耶路撒冷被萬國咒詛。」』」

他們將被稱為聖民，是耶和華救贖的人。你將被稱為蒙眷愛、不再被撇棄的城。
