Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the Babylonians but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah, the king of Judah, will not escape from the powerful hands of the armies of Babylon. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. Zedekiah will speak with him face to face. He will see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

King Zedekiah will be captured by the Babylonians and taken to meet the king of Babylon face to face.

猶大王西底家和所有的軍兵看見他們，便逃跑，就在夜間從王家園子的路、兩城牆中間的門、出城，按亞拉巴的路向出走。迦勒底人的軍隊追趕他們，在耶利哥原野追上了西底家，將他拿住，把他帶上去到哈馬地的利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒那裏；尼布甲尼撒就宣佈判語定他的罪。巴比倫王在利比拉當西底家眼前將他的眾兒子都宰殺掉；巴比倫王也宰殺了猶大所有顯貴的人，並將西底家的一對眼睛都弄瞎了，然後用銅鍊鎖着他，要將他帶到巴比倫去。

西底家王打發了人去帶他出來；王在自己宮中私下問他說：『從永恆主那裏來了甚麼話語沒有？』耶利米說：『有。』他又說：『你必被交於巴比倫王手中。』

城被攻破，王和所有的戰士就在夜間從靠近王家園子兩城牆中間的門那路向出城逃跑；那時迦勒底人正在四圍攻城；他們就按亞拉巴路向走。迦勒底人的軍隊追趕了王，在耶利哥原野追上了他；他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人將王捉住，把他帶上去到利比拉巴比倫王那裏，就宣佈判語來定他的罪。又在西底家眼前將他兒子們都宰殺掉，並將西底家一對眼睛都弄瞎了，然後用銅鍊鎖着他，帶到巴比倫去。

他從以色列王家後裔中取了一人，叫他發咒起誓、而跟他立約，巴王將國中有勢力的人擄去，使國低微，不能挺起，惟獨守約才得以存立。但他卻背叛了巴王，反而差遣使者往埃及去，要他們給他馬匹和許多兵丁。他哪能順利成功呢？行這樣事的人哪能逃脫呢？違反了盟約哪能逃脫呢？主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：巴王立他做王，他竟藐視了發咒起誓的話，違反了巴王跟他所立的約；因此他一定必死在巴比倫、巴王住的地方。敵人倒土堆築了壘要剪滅許多人時，法老雖領了大軍隊大羣眾人也不能在戰陣上跟他周旋呀。他藐視了發咒起誓的話，違犯了盟約；曾經舉手起了誓，還行這一切事，他必不能逃脫。因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捉住；我要把他帶到巴比倫，在那裏判罰他對我不忠實的罪。在他全部隊中、他所有的精兵都必倒斃於刀下；剩下的必被撒於四方；你們就知道是我永恆主說了。』

迦勒底人的軍隊追趕了王，在耶利哥的原野把西底家追上；他的全軍都離開他潰散了。迦勒底人將王捉住，把他帶上哈馬地的利比拉巴比倫王那裏；巴比倫王就宣佈判語定他的罪。又在西底家眼前將他的兒子們都宰殺掉，也在利比拉宰殺了猶大所有的首領。並將西底家的一對眼睛都弄瞎了，然後用銅鍊鎖着他；巴比倫王將他帶到巴比倫去，給下在牢獄裏，直到他死的日子。

你，眾所賤視之惡人，以色列王子啊，你的日子到了，就在罪罰結束的時候：主永恆主這麼說：除掉禮冠！摘下冠冕！情形不尋常了。使卑微者升高！使高者降為卑微！

他們中間的人君必在天黑壓壓時將物件搭在肩頭上而出去；他必把牆挖通了，從那裏出去；他必將臉蒙住，使他不能以眼看到地。我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捉住；我必將他帶到巴比倫、迦勒底人之地；但是那地他是看不見的；他也必死在那裏。
