They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded— nor did it enter my mind— that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

The people built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. That is where they sacrifice their children to Molek in the fire. That is something I did not command. It did not even enter my mind. They did something I hate. They made Judah sin.”

卻行以色列諸王的道，又鑄造諸巴力的像，照着耶和華從以色列人面前趕出的外邦人所行可憎的事，在欣嫩子谷燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，

他又玷污欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裏使兒女經火獻給摩洛。

這是因為他犯罪，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，行耶羅波安所行的道，犯他使以色列陷入罪裏的那罪。

他們建造巴力的丘壇，要在火中焚燒自己的兒女，作為燔祭獻給巴力。這不是我命令的，不是我吩咐的，我心裏也從來沒有想過。因此，看哪，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。這是耶和華說的。

「你要對以色列人說：凡以色列人，或是寄居在以色列的外人，把自己兒女獻給摩洛的，必被處死；本地的百姓要用石頭打死他。我也要向那人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除，因為他把兒女獻給摩洛，玷污了我的聖所，褻瀆了我的聖名。那人把兒女獻給摩洛，本地的百姓若假裝沒看見，不把他處死，我就要向這人和他的家人變臉，把他和所有跟隨他與摩洛行淫的人都從百姓中剪除。

你們在橡樹中間，在各青翠的樹下慾火攻心；在山谷間，在巖隙下殺了兒女；

瑪拿西引誘猶大和耶路撒冷的居民行惡，比耶和華在以色列人面前所滅的列國更嚴重。

「因猶大王瑪拿西行這些可憎的惡事，比先前亞摩利人所行的一切更壞，使猶大人拜偶像，陷入罪裏，

你拿你為我所生的兒女獻給它們吞噬。你的淫亂豈是小事？你竟把我的兒女殺了，使他們經火獻給它們！

因耶羅波安所犯的罪，又因他使以色列陷入罪裏，耶和華必將以色列交出來。」

他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，用他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

這是因為耶羅波安所犯的罪，他使以色列陷入罪裏，激怒了耶和華－以色列的神。

她們行姦淫，手中有血。她們與偶像行姦淫，使她們為我所生的兒女經火，給它們當食物。

拿答行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，行他父親所行的道，犯他父親使以色列陷入罪裏的那罪。

那休她的前夫就不可在婦人玷污之後再娶她為妻，因為這是耶和華所憎惡的。不可使耶和華－你神所賜為業之地蒙受玷污。

此外，在伯特利丘壇的壇，就是尼八的兒子耶羅波安所築、使以色列人陷入罪裏的，他也把這壇和丘壇都拆毀了，又焚燒丘壇，打碎成灰，並焚燒了亞舍拉。

摩西對亞倫說：「這百姓向你做了甚麼呢？你竟使他們陷入大罪中！」

然而，他依戀尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列陷入罪裏的那罪，總不離開。

你中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀星象的、行法術的、行邪術的、

因為他們離棄我，敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神明基抹和亞捫人的神明米勒公，沒有像他父親大衛一樣遵從我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，守我的律例典章。

我必使你的家像尼八的兒子耶羅波安的家，又像亞希雅的兒子巴沙的家，因為你惹我發怒，又使以色列陷入罪裏。』
