今敵迫城築壘、欲攻取之、因鋒刃饑饉疫癘、此邑付於迦勒底人手、爾言已驗、爾目睹之矣、

今敵築壘、勢甚危迫、攻城殆破、斯邑之人、戮以鋒刃、因以饑饉、重以疫癘、迦勒底人遂取邑垣、爾言有應、爾實鑒之。

今土壘已近於城以破之、城因鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、將付於攻之之迦勒底人手、主言有應、為主所見、

“ See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see.

“‘ See how ramps are built up against Jerusalem’s walls to attack it. The city will be handed over to the armies of Babylon. They are attacking it. It will fall because of war, hunger and plague. What you said would happen is now happening, as you can see.

Behold, the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and because of sword and famine and pestilence the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you spoke has come to pass, and behold, you see it.

“ See how the siege ramps have been built against the city walls! Through war, famine, and disease, the city will be handed over to the Babylonians, who will conquer it. Everything has happened just as you said.

Look! Siege ramps have come against the city to capture it, and the city, as a result of the sword, famine, and plague, has been handed over to the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you have spoken has happened. Look, you can see it!

Behold, the assault ramps have reached the city to take it; and the city has been handed over to the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, the famine, and the plague; and what You have spoken has come to pass; and behold, You see it.

‘ Look, the siege mounds! They have come to the city to take it; and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword and famine and pestilence. What You have spoken has happened; there You see it!

Behold, the mounds, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it.

Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest[ it].

Even now siege ramps have been built up around the city in order to capture it. War, starvation, and disease are sure to make the city fall into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. LORD, you threatened that this would happen. Now you can see that it is already taking place.

“ Behold, siege ramps have come to the city to take it. The city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, of the famine, and of the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it.

我今日呼天喚地向你們作見證，你們在過約旦河得為業的地上必迅速滅亡！你們在那地的日子必不長久，必全然滅絕。

耶和華－你們的神所應許的一切福氣怎樣臨到你們身上，耶和華也必照樣使各樣災禍臨到你們身上，直到他把你們從耶和華－你們神所賜給你們的這美地上除滅。你們若違背耶和華－你們神吩咐你們所守的約，去事奉別神，敬拜它們，耶和華的怒氣必向你們發作，使你們在他所賜給你們的美地上迅速滅亡。」

論到這城中的房屋和猶大君王的宮殿，就是拆毀來擋圍城工事和刀劍的，耶和華－以色列的神如此說：

現在論到這城，就是你們所說，已經因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫被交在巴比倫王手中的，耶和華－以色列的神如此說：

右手是耶路撒冷的占卜，以便安設撞城槌，張口喊殺，揚聲呼叫，建土堆，築堡壘，以撞城槌攻打城門。

『耶和華－以色列的神如此說：看哪，我要使你們手中的兵器，就是你們與城外圍困你們的巴比倫王和迦勒底人打仗所用的兵器轉回來，把它們聚集在這城中。我要在怒氣、憤怒和大惱怒中，用伸出來的手和大能的膀臂，親自攻擊你們；又要擊打這城的居民，他們連人帶牲畜都必遭遇大瘟疫而死亡。以後，我要將猶大王西底家和他的臣僕百姓，就是在城內，從瘟疫、刀劍、饑荒中倖存的人，都交在巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手中，交在仇敵和尋索其命的人手中。巴比倫王必用刀擊殺他們，不顧惜，不同情，不憐憫。這是耶和華說的。』

然而我的言語和律例，就是我所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們的祖先嗎？他們就回轉，說：萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的所作所為對待我們，他也已經照樣行了。」

因為猶大王西底家囚禁他，說：「你為甚麼預言耶和華如此說：『看哪，我要把這城交在巴比倫王的手中，他必攻下這城。

「主耶和華如此說：我若將這四樣大災，就是刀劍、饑荒、惡獸、瘟疫降在耶路撒冷，將人與牲畜從其中剪除，豈不是更嚴重嗎？

餓死人的饑荒、灼人的熱症、痛苦的災害。我要叫野獸用牙齒咬他們，叫土中爬行的用毒液害他們。外有刀劍使人喪亡，內有驚恐，少男少女是如此，吃奶的、白髮的也是如此。

天地要廢去，我的話卻絕不廢去。」

年輕人和老年人躺臥在街上，我的少女和壯丁都倒在刀下。你在發怒的日子殺了他們，你殺戮，並不顧惜。你從四圍招聚使我驚嚇的人，像在節慶的日子一樣。耶和華發怒的日子，無人逃脫，無人生還。我所撫育養大的，仇敵都殺盡了。

耶和華對摩西說：「看哪，你必和你的祖先同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦的神明行淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。那時，我的怒氣必向他們發作，我必離棄他們，轉臉不顧他們，以致他們被吞滅，並有許多的禍患災難臨到他們。在那日，人必說：『這些禍患臨到我，豈不是因為我的神不在我中間嗎？』

野狗尚且哺乳其子，我百姓的婦人反倒殘忍，如曠野的鴕鳥一般；吃奶孩子的舌頭因乾渴貼住上膛，孩童求餅，卻無人擘給他們。素來吃美好食物的，如今遭遺棄在街上；素來穿着朱紅衣裳長大的，如今卻擁抱糞堆。我百姓的罪孽比所多瑪的罪還大；所多瑪雖無人伸手攻擊，轉眼之間就被傾覆。錫安的拿細耳人比雪純淨，比奶更白；他們的身體比寶石更紅，身軀之美如藍寶石一般。但如今他們的面貌比煤炭更黑，在街上無人認識；他們的皮膚緊貼骨頭，枯乾形同槁木。被刀劍刺殺的勝過因飢餓而死的；飢餓者由於缺乏田裏的出產就消瘦而亡。當我百姓遭毀滅的時候，慈心的婦人親手烹煮自己的兒女為食物。

他們禁食的時候，我不聽他們的呼求；他們獻燔祭和素祭，我也不悅納。我卻要用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫滅絕他們。」我就說：「唉！主耶和華，看哪，那些先知常對他們說：『你們必不見刀劍，也不遭饑荒；耶和華要在這地方賞賜你們真正的平安。』」耶和華對我說：「那些先知託我的名說假預言，我並未差遣他們，沒有吩咐他們，也沒有對他們說話；他們向你們預言的是虛假的異象、占卜、虛無，以及心中的詭詐。所以耶和華如此說：『論到託我名說預言的那些先知，我並未差遣他們；他們說這地不會有刀劍、饑荒，其實那些先知自己必被刀劍、饑荒滅絕。

四月初九，城裏的饑荒非常嚴重，當地的百姓都沒有糧食。

跟隨約押的眾百姓到了伯‧瑪迦的亞比拉，圍困示巴，對着城建土堆，與城郭相對。他們猛撞城牆，要使城倒塌。

他們必死於致命的疾病，無人哀哭，不得埋葬，在地上如糞土，因刀劍和饑荒而滅絕；他們的屍首必給空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸作食物。

我必使刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫臨到他們，直到他們從我所賜給他們和他們祖先之地滅絕。」

耶和華對我說：「雖有摩西和撒母耳站在我面前，我的心也不顧惜這百姓。你把他們從我眼前趕出，叫他們出去吧！他們若問你說：『我們往哪裏去呢？』你就告訴他們，耶和華如此說：『定為死亡的，必致死亡；定為刀殺的，必被刀殺；定為饑荒的，必遭饑荒；定為擄掠的，必被擄掠。』」「我命定四樣災害臨到他們，就是刀劍殺戮、羣狗拖拉、空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃毀滅。這是耶和華說的。

主耶和華啊，你卻對我說，要用銀子為自己買那塊地，又請人作證；其實這城已交在迦勒底人的手中了。』」

耶和華的話臨到耶利米先知，說：「耶和華－以色列的神如此說：你們要對派你們來求問我的猶大王如此說：『看哪，那出來幫助你們的法老軍隊必回埃及本國去。迦勒底人必再來攻打這城，並要攻下，用火焚燒。耶和華如此說：你們不要自欺說「迦勒底人必定離開我們」，因為他們必不離開。你們即使擊敗與你們爭戰的迦勒底全軍，他們當中剩下受傷的人也必各自從帳棚裏起來，用火焚燒這城。』」
