“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.

Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness. (niv)

So Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated, Baruch wrote on it all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many similar words were added to them. (niv)

So Moses wrote down this song that day and taught it to the Israelites.The Lord gave this command to Joshua son of Nun:“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you.”After Moses finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,he gave this command to the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord:“ Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die! (niv)

“ Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll,that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever! (niv)

which said:“ Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.” (niv)

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (niv)

Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon— all that had been recorded concerning Babylon.He said to Seraiah,“ When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud.Then say,‘ Lord, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither people nor animals will live in it; it will be desolate forever.’When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.Then say,‘ So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring on her.
