I am with you and will save you,’ declares the Lord.‘ Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.’

耶和華說：「即使在那時，我也不會徹底毀滅你們。

耶和華啊，求你不要在怒中責備我，不要在烈怒中懲罰我。

你們要去毀壞她的葡萄園，但不可徹底毀壞。要砍掉枝子，因為那些枝子不屬於耶和華。

教導他們遵守我吩咐你們的一切。記住，我必常與你們同在，一直到世界的末了。」

願主與你的靈同在！願恩典與你們同在！

我要使你成為堅固的銅牆，他們要攻擊你，卻不能勝過你，因為我與你同在，我會保護你，拯救你。這是耶和華說的。

因此，你要說，『主耶和華這樣說，我雖然把以色列人趕到遠方各國，分散在列邦，卻要在他們所去的國家暫作他們的聖所。』「你要說，『主耶和華這樣說，我必從各國召集你們，從你們被驅散到的列邦中聚集你們，將以色列再賜給你們。』

「必有童貞女懷孕生子，祂的名字要叫以馬內利，意思是『上帝與我們同在』。」

我正在說預言的時候，比拿雅的兒子毗拉提就死了。我便俯伏在地大喊：「唉，主耶和華啊，你要滅絕以色列的餘民嗎？」

現在的情況也是一樣，上帝按照揀選的恩典留下了少數人。既然說是出於恩典，就不再基於行為，不然恩典就不再是恩典了。這該怎麼說呢？以色列人努力追求，卻一無所得，只有蒙揀選的人得到了，其他的人都變得頑固不化。

我的僕人雅各啊，不要害怕！以色列人啊，不要驚慌！因為我要從遠方把你們救回來，使你們從流亡之地歸回。你們必重返家園，安享太平，無人攪擾。我的僕人雅各啊，不要害怕，因為我與你同在。我曾使你流亡到列國，我必徹底毀滅列國，但不會徹底毀滅你，也不會饒過你，我必公正地懲治你。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華不像擊打以色列的敵人那樣擊打以色列人。祂不像擊殺以色列的敵人那樣擊殺以色列人。祂與以色列人為敵，使他們被擄，驅逐他們離開本地，用從東方颳來的暴風吹散他們。

關於以色列人，以賽亞先知曾疾呼：「以色列人雖多如海沙，但得救的只是剩餘的人，因為上帝要在世上迅速、徹底地執行祂的判決。」以賽亞又說：「若不是萬軍之主給我們存留後裔，我們早就像所多瑪和蛾摩拉一樣滅亡了。」
