以色列族既背我、狥欲而行、我棄之、與以離書、其姊妹猶大族、屢欺侮予、毫無畏葸、狥欲而行、我鑒察之、彼狥欲特甚、崇拜木石、污衊斯邦、厥後佯為歸誠、心不誠慤。○

背叛之以色列、因行淫為我所逐、予以離書、其妹悖逆之猶大仍不畏懼、亦復行淫、我悉鑒察、

I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and committed adultery.

I gave Israel their letter of divorce. I sent them away because they were unfaithful to me so many times. But I saw that their sister nation Judah did not have any respect for me. They were not faithful to me either. They also went out and committed adultery with other gods.

She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce. Yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she too went and played the whore.

She saw that I divorced faithless Israel because of her adultery. But that treacherous sister Judah had no fear, and now she, too, has left me and given herself to prostitution.

I observed that it was because unfaithful Israel had committed adultery that I had sent her away and had given her a certificate of divorce. Nevertheless, her treacherous sister Judah was not afraid but also went and prostituted herself.

And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a certificate of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and prostituted herself also.

Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also.

And I saw, when, for this very cause that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot.

I observed that it was because unfaithful Israel had committed adultery that I had sent her away and had given her a certificate of divorce. Nevertheless, her treacherous sister Judah was not afraid but also went and prostituted herself.

And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

She also saw that I gave wayward Israel her divorce papers and sent her away because of her adulterous worship of other gods. Even after her unfaithful sister Judah had seen this, she still was not afraid, and she too went and gave herself like a prostitute to other gods.

I saw when, for this very cause, that backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a certificate of divorce, yet treacherous Judah, her sister, had no fear; but she also went and played the prostitute.

人娶妻後、見其有疵、而不之悅、當書離書、付於其手、使出其家、

有曰、人出其妻、妻離之而他適、前夫豈復納之、若然、斯地非受污之甚乎、耶和華曰、惟爾相愛者眾、與之行淫、猶思歸我乎、

何細亞九年、亞述王取撒瑪利亞、徙以色列人至亞述、置於哈臘與歌散之哈博河濱、及瑪代諸邑、此因以色列人獲罪於其上帝耶和華、即導之出埃及、脫於埃及王法老手者、彼乃寅畏他神、循耶和華於以色列人前、所逐異族之例、及以色列諸王所立之例、以色列人私行不正之事、背逆其上帝耶和華、於其諸邑、自戍樓至堅城、建築崇邱、在山岡之上、綠樹之下、立柱像與木偶、焚香於諸崇邱、效耶和華於其前所逐之異族、行諸惡事、激耶和華之怒、崇事偶像、即耶和華所言不可為者、耶和華藉諸先知先見、戒以色列與猶大人曰、當轉離爾之惡途、守我誡命典章、循我所命爾列祖、及藉我僕眾先知授爾之法、惟彼弗聽、強項不馴、如其不信厥上帝耶和華之列祖、違棄上帝之典章、及與其列祖所立之約、並戒之之言、從虛無而變為虛妄、效四周異邦、即耶和華所命勿效之者、違棄其上帝耶和華一切誡命、鑄二犢像、製造木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、使其子女經火、用卜筮邪術、自鬻而行耶和華所惡、以激其怒、耶和華震怒以色列人、擯於其前、惟遺猶大支派而已、猶大亦不守其上帝耶和華之誡命、乃從以色列人所立之例、

故我付之於其情人亞述族手、

其與爾母爭辯、爭辯、蓋彼非我妻、我非其夫、使除其面上之淫、去其懷中之姦、免我褫而裸之、俾如初生之日、使之如曠野、如暵地、因渴而死、

以色列歟、爾雖行淫、猶大不可干罪、勿至吉甲、勿往伯亞文、勿指維生之耶和華而誓、蓋以色列倔強、若桀驁之牝犢、今耶和華豈牧之、如牧羔羊於廣處乎、以法蓮好合偶像、可姑聽之、

如其後夫亦不之悅、付以離書而出之、或後夫死、

厥妹阿荷利巴見此、狥欲過於其姊、行淫較之尤甚、戀愛鄰邦亞述人、方伯州牧、少壯可愛、盛服乘馬、我見其被玷、姊妹俱行一途、惟彼增其淫行、見迦勒底人像、繪於牆壁、塗以丹雘、其腰束帶、冠巾下垂於後、容若牧伯、與迦勒底地所出之巴比倫人同、婦見之、則生戀愛、遣使往迦勒底見之、巴比倫人至、登榻行淫、婦既被玷、則厭其人、彼顯其淫行、露其身體、我則厭之、如厭其姊、惟彼增其淫行、憶其少年、在埃及行淫、戀其所懽、體壯若驢、精足若馬、猶憶少年行淫、為埃及人擁抱、摩撫厥乳、○

彼之惡事、俱在吉甲、在彼我始憾之、緣其惡行、我必逐之於我家、不復愛之、其牧伯皆悖逆者也、以法蓮被擊、其根已槁、不復結實、縱使生產、其所出之愛子、我將誅戮、因其不聽命、我上帝必棄之、俾其流離於列邦、
