爾干罪於爾上帝耶和華、奔馳諸路、在諸綠樹之下、崇事他神、不從我言、當自認爾罪、耶和華言之矣、

我耶和華爾之上帝、爾違逆予、不遵我命、入諸茂林、崇事他上帝、今當任過。

惟當自認罪愆、蓋爾違逆主爾之天主、奔馳歧途、在各茂樹下、崇拜他神、不聽我命、此乃主所言、

Only acknowledge your guilt— you have rebelled against the Lord your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me,’” declares the Lord.

Admit that you are guilty of doing what is wrong. You have refused to obey me. I am the Lord your God. You have committed adultery with other gods. You worshiped them under every green tree. And you have not obeyed me,’ ” announces the Lord.

「當這一切的事，就是我擺在你面前的祝福和詛咒臨到你的時候，你在耶和華－你神趕逐你去的萬國中，心裏回想這些事，你和你的子孫若盡心盡性歸向耶和華－你的神，照我今日一切所吩咐你的，聽從他的話，耶和華－你的神就必憐憫你，使你這被擄的子民歸回。耶和華－你的神必轉回，從分散你到的萬民中把你召集回來。

約西亞王在位的時候，耶和華對我說：「你看見背道的以色列所做的嗎？她上到各高山，在各青翠的樹下行淫。

你們佔領的國家所事奉他們眾神明的地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在一切的青翠樹下，你們要徹底毀壞；

我們在羞恥中躺臥吧！願慚愧將我們遮蓋！因為從我們幼年以來，我們和我們的祖先都得罪了耶和華－我們的神，沒有聽從耶和華－我們神的話。」

「你在古時折斷你的軛，解開你的繩索，說：『我必不事奉耶和華。』你在各高岡上、各青翠的樹下屈身行淫。

我要起來，到我父親那裏去，對他說：父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你，從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧。』於是他起來，往他父親那裏去。相離還遠，他父親看見，就動了慈心，跑去擁抱着他，連連親他。兒子對他說：『父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你，從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子。』

你舉目向光禿的高地觀看，何處沒有你的淫行呢？你坐在道路旁等候，好像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏，你的淫行和邪惡使全地污穢了。

又為自己建造土墩，在各廣場上築起高臺。你在各個街頭建造高臺，使你的美貌變為可憎；又向所有過路的人招手，多行淫亂。

耶和華啊，我們承認自己的罪惡和我們祖先的罪孽，因我們得罪了你。

「他們要承認自己的罪孽和祖先的罪孽，就是背叛我，行事與我作對的過犯。我也行事與他們作對，把他們遣送到敵人之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若肯謙卑，也服了罪孽的懲罰，我就要記念我與雅各的約，記念我與以撒的約，與亞伯拉罕的約；我也要記念這地。

我聽見以法蓮為自己悲嘆說：『你管教我，我便受管教，我如未馴服的牛犢。求你使我回轉，我便回轉，因為你是耶和華－我的神。我背離以後就懊悔，受教以後就捶胸；我因擔當年輕時的凌辱就抱愧蒙羞。』以法蓮是我的愛子嗎？是我喜歡的孩子嗎？我每逢責備他，仍深顧念他。因此，我的心腸牽掛着他，我必要憐憫他。這是耶和華說的。

他在人前歌唱說：『我犯了罪，顛倒是非，卻沒有受該得的報應。神救贖我的性命免入地府，我的生命也必見光。』

遮掩自己過犯的，必不順利；承認且離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

「只是你仗着自己美貌，又憑着你的名聲行淫。你向路人縱情淫亂，你的美貌就屬於他的了。

我們若說自己沒有罪，就是欺騙自己，真理就不在我們裏面了。我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。我們若說自己沒有犯過罪，就是把神當作說謊的，他的道就不在我們裏面了。
