“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你当送信给所有被掳的人，说：‘耶和华论到尼希兰人示玛雅说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，使你们倚靠谎言，而我并没有差遣他，

“你派人送信给所有被掳的人，说，‘耶和华说祂没有差遣尼希兰人示玛雅，他却说预言，诱使你们听信谎言，

“你要寄信给所有被掳的人，说：‘论到尼希兰人示玛雅，耶和华这样说：因为示玛雅向你们说预言，我并没有差遣他，他竟使你们信靠谎言。

「你當寄信給一切被擄的人說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他使你們倚靠謊言；

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你當送信給所有被擄的人，說：『耶和華論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，使你們倚靠謊言，而我並沒有差遣他，

「你派人送信給所有被擄的人，說，『耶和華說祂沒有差遣尼希蘭人示瑪雅，他卻說預言，誘使你們聽信謊言，

“你要寄信給所有被擄的人，說：‘論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅，耶和華這樣說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他竟使你們信靠謊言。

『你要寄信給所有流亡的人說：「永恆主論尼希蘭人示瑪雅是這麼說的：因為示瑪雅向你們傳神言，而我並沒有差遣了他，他竟使你們倚靠着虛假，

致書告諸俘囚曰、耶和華論尼希蘭人示瑪雅云、緣示瑪雅與爾預言、我未遣之、惟彼使爾妄誕是恃、

爾當致書、告諸俘囚者曰、尼希蘭人示罵雅、予耶和華未之遣也、彼傳言以惑眾、

爾當致書、告諸被擄者曰、主如是云、尼希蘭人示瑪雅、我未嘗遣之、彼竟於爾妄傳預言、使爾倚賴虛誑、

“ Send this message to all the exiles:‘ This is what the Lord says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies,

“ Send a message to all the people who were taken away. Tell them,‘ The Lord speaks about Shemaiah, the Nehelamite. He says,“ Shemaiah has prophesied to you. But I did not send him. He has made you trust in lies.

“ Send to all the exiles, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah of Nehelam: Because Shemaiah had prophesied to you when I did not send him, and has made you trust in a lie,

“ Send an open letter to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Since he has prophesied to you when I did not send him and has tricked you into believing his lies,

“ Send word to all the exiles, saying,‘ This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, although I did not send him, and he has made you trust in a lie,”

Send to all those in captivity, saying, Thus says the Lord concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I have not sent him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie—

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith Jehovah concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he hath caused you to trust in a lie;

“ Send a message to all the exiles, saying: This is what the Lord says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah prophesied to you, though I did not send him, and made you trust a lie,

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

“ Send a message to all the exiles in Babylon. Tell them,‘ The LORD has spoken about Shemaiah the Nehelamite.“ Shemaiah has spoken to you as a prophet even though I did not send him. He is making you trust in a lie.

“ Send to all of the captives, saying,‘ Yahweh says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite:“ Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I didn’t send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie;”

for they are prophesying falsely to you in my name. I have not sent them.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

Because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies( when I intended no distress), and because you have supported the wicked person so that he does not turn from his evil way to save his life,therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will rescue my people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

But the LORD said to me,“ These prophets are prophesying a lie in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a false vision, worthless divination, the deceit of their own minds.“ Therefore, this is what the LORD says concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, though I did not send them, and who say,‘ There will never be sword or famine in this land.’ By sword and famine these prophets will meet their end.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: You have spoken falsely and had lying visions; that’s why you discover that I am against you. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and speak lying divinations. They will not be present in the council of my people or be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, and they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.“‘ Since they have led my people astray by saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and since when a flimsy wall is being built, they plaster it with whitewash,therefore, tell those plastering it with whitewash that it will fall. Torrential rain will come, and I will send hailstones plunging down, and a whirlwind will be released.When the wall has fallen, will you not be asked,“ Where’s the whitewash you plastered on it?”“‘ So this is what the Lord GOD says: I will release a whirlwind in my wrath. Torrential rain will come in my anger, and hailstones will fall in destructive fury.I will demolish the wall you plastered with whitewash and knock it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. The city will fall, and you will be destroyed within it. Then you will know that I am the LORD.After I exhaust my wrath against the wall and against those who plaster it with whitewash, I will say to you,“ The wall is no more and neither are those who plastered it—those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw a vision of peace for her when there was no peace.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’

because they have committed an outrage in Israel by committing adultery with their neighbors’ wives and have spoken in my name a lie, which I did not command them. I am he who knows, and I am a witness.” This is the LORD’s declaration.To Shemaiah the Nehelamite you are to say,

I did not send out these prophets, yet they ran. I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.

The prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah,“ Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not send you, but you have led these people to trust in a lie.Therefore, this is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to send you off the face of the earth. You will die this year because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.’”And the prophet Hananiah died that year in the seventh month.

There were indeed false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.
