‘ The Lord has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada to be in charge of the house of the Lord; you should put any maniac who acts like a prophet into the stocks and neck-irons.

“ The Lord has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada. He has put you in charge of the Lord’ s house. You are supposed to arrest any crazy person who claims to be a prophet. You should put him in prison. You should put iron bands around his neck.

‘ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, to have charge in the house of the Lord over every madman who prophesies, to put him in the stocks and neck irons.

“ The Lord has appointed you to replace Jehoiada as the priest in charge of the house of the Lord. You are responsible to put into stocks and neck irons any crazy man who claims to be a prophet.

‘ The LORD has appointed you priest in place of the priest Jehoiada to be the chief officer in the temple of the LORD, responsible for every madman who acts like a prophet. You must confine him in the stocks and an iron collar.

“ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, to be the overseer of the house of the Lord for every insane person who prophesies, to put him in the stocks and in the iron collar.

“ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, so that there should be officers in the house of the Lord over every man who is demented and considers himself a prophet, that you should put him in prison and in the stocks.

Jehovah hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that there may be officers in the house of Jehovah, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in the stocks and in shackles.

“ Yahweh has made you priest in the place of Jehoiada the priest, that there may be officers in Yahweh’s house, for every man who is crazy, and makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and in shackles.

音麥子巴述為祭司、兼為耶和華殿宰、聞先知耶利米言此、則撻之、加以桎梏、在崇門之側。門名便雅憫、近耶和華殿。

耶戶出、見王之群臣、其一問曰、安乎、彼心狂者、見爾何為。曰、爾識其人、知其所言。

有曰、彼憑於鬼而狂、曷為聽之、

降災罰惡、其日已屆、以色列族必知之、因犯罪惡、蓄怨不已、故彼冒為先知、佯托感神、卒見愚蠢、而發狂疾、

保羅訴時、非士都大聲曰、保羅、爾狂乎、爾多文而狂矣、

親舊聞而至、欲援耶穌止之、語人曰、彼乃狂耳、

如爾中有先知、有作夢者、預言異跡奇事、所言有應、即教人曰、別有上帝、宜從而事之、然此上帝爾所未識、故勿聽其言、蓋爾上帝試爾、欲知爾一心一意、愛爾上帝耶和華否。惟爾當遵從敬畏爾上帝耶和華、守其誡、聽其命、恆久事之。昔爾上帝耶和華、導爾出埃及、脫爾於賤役、惟彼先知、與作夢者、欲使爾違爾上帝耶和華、離其所命之道、則必見殺、為爾中絕其惡。

獄吏受命、下之內獄、以木桎其足、○

今亞拿突人耶利米、自稱為先知、爾曷弗督責焉。

如有人欲為偽先知、則其父母、必責之曰、爾托耶和華之名而妄言、必不得生、而其父母、必手刃之、當是日、諸偽先知、必為所見之異象、蒙羞抱愧、不敢衣裘以惑人、乃告人曰、我非先知、我乃農夫、我自幼時、被鬻為奴。人詰之曰爾手何為被傷、曰、我昔在友人之舍、而受斯傷。

使徒教民時、祭司、殿司、及［口撒］吐𡀲人、突如其來、

耶穌入殿教誨、祭司諸長、民間長老、就之曰、爾以何權行是、誰賜爾此權耶、

但余由牖以筐、自墻縋而脫之矣、

眾乃執耶利米、解於外獄、哈米勒子馬勒家室有井、以繩縋之下、井無水、惟有淤泥、耶利米遂淖於泥中。

爾豈大於我祖亞伯拉罕乎、亞伯拉罕死、先知亦然、爾自居何等耶、

厥後耶路撒冷被陷之日、時耶利米猶在外獄。

猶太人曰、我石擊爾、非為善事、祗為僭妄、以爾人也、而自謂上帝、

屢刑諸會堂、強使毀耶穌、攻之益狂、窘逐至外邑、

祭司耶何耶大命諸百夫長、及統轄全軍者、曰、在耶和華殿勿殺是婦、當曳出班列之外、凡從之者擊以刃。

祭司、殿司、祭司諸長、聞此疑焉、不知將若何、

民往燬巴力殿、摧其祭壇、斫其偶像、殺其祭司馬擔於壇前、祭司耶何耶大使有司統轄耶和華殿。

魔鬼將爾數人幽囚之、加爾以禍、受難十日、然爾雖受苦、毋畏、當盡忠至死、我必賚爾永生之賞、若加冠冕、

告之曰、王命拘幽此人、供餅給水、使嘗艱苦、迨我安歸。

亞撒震怒、幽先見者於獄、虐遇其民。

我若狂、緣上帝而然、我自若、緣爾曹而然、基督之愛策我矣、竊思一人為眾死、則其眾當死、明矣、一人為眾死、則生者不可為己、必為代我死而甦之主、

遂起、執使徒下獄、
