I gave the same message to Zedekiah king of Judah. I said,“ Bow your neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, and you will live.

I gave the same message to Zedekiah, the king of Judah. I said,“ Put your neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon. Obey him. Serve his people. Then you will live.

To Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke in like manner:“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people and live.

Then I repeated this same message to King Zedekiah of Judah.“ If you want to live, submit to the yoke of the king of Babylon and his people.

I spoke to King Zedekiah of Judah in the same way:“ Put your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, serve him and his people, and live!

I spoke words like all these to Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,“ Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people, and live!

是歲猶大王西底家即位之四年五月、基遍人押朔子先知哈拿尼雅、在耶和華室、祭司庶民前、告我曰、

耶利米曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、如爾出降於巴比倫王之牧伯、則可得生、斯邑不焚於火、爾及舉家、亦可生存、

無論何國何族、不服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、不以其項負巴比倫王之軛者、我必以鋒刃饑饉疫癘罰之、迨盡滅於其手、耶和華言之矣、

惟聽我者、必宴然居處、得享寧靜、不畏遭禍、

曰、耶和華諭我云、宜自製索及軛、置於爾項、以之付於使者之手、即詣耶路撒冷、覲猶大王西底家者、攜至以東王、摩押王、亞捫族之王、推羅王、西頓王、

西底家即位時、年二十有一、在耶路撒冷為王、歷十一年、行耶和華所惡、先知耶利米以耶和華言諭之、彼不自卑、尼布甲尼撒使其指上帝而誓、彼仍背叛、強其項、剛厥心、不歸服以色列之上帝耶和華、

耶和華諭我曰、謂悖逆之家云、斯事之旨、爾不知之乎、宜告之曰、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其君王牧伯、攜至巴比倫、揀其王子、與之立約、使之發誓、遷其境內強者、使國為卑、不復振興、但守盟約、猶可保存、惟彼叛巴比倫王、遣使至埃及、欲其給以馬匹軍旅、如是能亨通乎、行是事者、得免難乎、爽約能遠害乎、彼既藐其誓、爽其約、主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼必於立之為王者之都、與之同沒於巴比倫、其敵築壘建營、欲滅邑眾、法老雖率軍旅羣眾、亦不能助其戰、蓋王子既握手立約、乃藐誓爽約、必不能免難、主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、彼藐我誓、爽我約、我必以此罪歸於其首、必張我網於其上、陷之於我擭、曳至巴比倫、在彼鞫其逆我之罪、其軍中之遁者、必隕於刃、遺民散於四方、爾則知乃我耶和華所言也、○
