彼得和众使徒回答说：“顺从神，不顺从人，是应当的。

但你们要确实地知道，若把我治死，就使无辜人的血归到你们和这城，并其中的居民了；因为耶和华实在差遣我到你们这里来，将这一切话传与你们耳中。”

彼得、约翰说：“听从你们，不听从神，这在神面前合理不合理，你们自己酌量吧！

“耶和华如此说：你站在耶和华殿的院内，对犹大众城邑的人，就是到耶和华殿来礼拜的，说我所吩咐你的一切话，一字不可删减。

所以你当束腰，起来将我所吩咐你的一切话告诉他们；不要因他们惊惶，免得我使你在他们面前惊惶。看哪，我今日使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，与全地和犹大的君王、首领、祭司，并地上的众民反对。

耶和华如此说：“你去买窑匠的瓦瓶，又带百姓中的长老和祭司中的长老，出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西的门口那里，宣告我所吩咐你的话，说：‘犹大君王和耶路撒冷的居民哪，当听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：我必使灾祸临到这地方，凡听见的人都必耳鸣；

耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’亚玛谢啊，现在你要听耶和华的话。你说：‘不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家滴下预言。’所以耶和华如此说：‘你的妻子必在城中作妓女；你的儿女必倒在刀下。你的地必有人用绳子量了分取；你自己必死在污秽之地。以色列民定被掳去离开本地。’”
