彼得和众使徒回答：“服从神过于服从人，是应当的。

不过你们要确实知道，如果你们杀死我，就必使无辜的人的血归到你们和这城，以及这城的居民头上，因为耶和华实在差遣了我到你们中间，把这一切话传到你们耳中。”

彼得和约翰回答：“听从你们过于听从神，在神面前对不对，你们自己说吧！

“耶和华这样说：‘你要站在耶和华殿的院子里，对来自犹大各城，到耶和华殿敬拜的人，把我吩咐你对他们说的一切话，一字不漏告诉他们。

“因此，你要束腰，你要起来，把我吩咐你的一切话，都告诉他们。不要因他们惊惶，不然我就使你在他们面前惊惶。看哪！今日我使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，抵挡全地，就是抵挡犹大的君王、首领、祭司和这地的众民。

耶和华这样说：“你去跟陶匠买一个瓦瓶，要带着几位人民的长老和年长的祭司，出到欣嫩子谷，哈珥西（“哈珥西”意即“瓦片”）门的入口，在那里你要宣告我将对你说的话。你要说：‘犹大列王和耶路撒冷的居民哪！你们要听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华以色列的神这样说：看哪！我必使灾祸临到这地方；凡听见的，都必耳鸣。

但耶和华选召我，叫我不再跟随羊群；他对我说：‘你去，向我民以色列说预言。’现在你要听耶和华的话；因为你说：‘不要说预言攻击以色列，不要说攻击以撒家的话。’所以，耶和华这样说：‘你妻子必在城中作妓女，你的儿女必倒在刀下；你的土地必被人量度瓜分，你自己必死在不洁之地；以色列必被掳，离开本国。’”
