the foreigners living in Egypt; all the kings of the land of Uz; all the kings of the land of the Philistines, the people of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, the people who had been left alive from Ashdod;

在法老攻打迦薩之前，耶和華告訴了耶利米先知有關非利士人的事。耶和華說：「看啊，大水將從北方漲溢，形成一道洪流，淹沒大地和地上的一切，吞噬城邑和其中的居民。人們必呼喊，地上的居民必哀哭。一聽見馬蹄噠噠、戰車隆隆、車輪滾滾的聲音，做父親的就嚇得手腳發軟，無力照顧兒女。因為毀滅所有非利士人的日子到了，剷除泰爾和西頓剩餘幫手的日子到了。耶和華要滅絕迦斐托島剩餘的非利士人。迦薩一片荒涼，亞實基倫淪為廢墟。谷中的餘民啊！你們要割傷身體到何時呢？你們大喊，『耶和華的刀啊，你何時才停下來呢？求你入鞘吧！停下來吧！』但耶和華已命令它攻擊亞實基倫和沿海一帶，它怎能停下來呢？」

同行的還有許多外族人和大群的牛羊。

迦薩必被拋棄，亞實基倫必淪為廢墟，亞實突的居民必在中午被趕走，以革倫必被連根拔除。住在海邊的基利提人啊，你們有禍了！非利士人的土地——迦南啊，耶和華宣告要毀滅你，使你杳無人煙。沿海地區必成為草場，有牧人的居所和羊圈。那裡必歸給猶大家的餘民，他們必在那裡放牧，晚上睡在亞實基倫的房屋裡，因為他們的上帝耶和華必眷顧他們，使他們回到故土。

亞蘭的兒子是烏斯、戶勒、基帖、瑪施。

那些天，我見猶大人娶了亞實突、亞捫和摩押的女子為妻。他們半數的子女說亞實突話或其他外族人的話，不懂得猶大話。我就斥責他們，咒詛他們，打了他們其中一些人，又扯他們的頭髮，要他們奉上帝的名起誓不再讓自己的子女與外族人通婚，自己也不娶外族女子。我說：「這豈不是以色列王所羅門所犯的罪嗎？眾國中沒有王可與他相比，他的上帝愛他，立他做全以色列的王。然而，連他也被外族女子引入罪中。我怎能聽憑你們行這大惡，因娶外族女子而背叛我們的上帝呢？」

非利士人獻給耶和華的金毒瘡是分別為亞實突、迦薩、亞實基倫、迦特和以革倫賠罪的。

閃的兒子是以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路德、亞蘭、烏斯、戶勒、基帖、米設。

「主耶和華說，『非利士人心存仇恨，為了報世仇要毀滅猶大，所以我必伸手攻擊他們，剷除基利提人，毀滅沿海殘餘的人。我要報應他們，發烈怒懲罰他們。我報應他們的時候，他們就知道我是耶和華。』」

亞實基倫見狀必陷入恐懼，迦薩見狀必充滿痛苦，以革倫見狀必希望破滅。迦薩必失去君王，亞實基倫必荒無人煙。混雜的種族必佔領亞實突，我必剷除非利士人的驕傲。我必除去他們口中帶血的肉和齒間的可憎之物。餘下的人必歸屬我，成為猶大的一族，以革倫人必像耶布斯人一樣歸屬我。

長子烏斯、烏斯的弟弟布斯、亞蘭的父親基姆利、

耶和華說：「迦薩人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回對他們的懲罰，因為他們把被擄之人全都帶走，賣到以東做奴隸。所以，我要降火在迦薩的城牆上，燒毀它的城堡。我要剷除亞實突的居民和亞實基倫的掌權者，伸手攻擊以革倫，剩下的非利士人都要滅亡。這是主耶和華說的。」
