對他們說：‘耶路撒冷諸王、猶大眾民和所有進入這些城門的猶大居民哪！你們要聽他耶和華的話。耶和華這樣說：為了自己的性命，你們要謹慎，不可在安息日挑擔子，不可挑進耶路撒冷的城門。也不可在安息日從你們家裡挑擔子出來；甚麼工都不可作，卻要守安息日為聖日，正如我吩咐你們列祖的。你們的列祖卻沒有聽從，毫不在意，反而硬著頸項不肯聽，不受管教。’”耶和華宣告說：“但如果你們真心聽從我，不在安息日挑擔子進入這城的城門，並且守安息日為聖日，在那日不作任何工作；這樣，就必有坐大衛王位的列王，並有眾領袖隨著，進入這城的城門；列王和眾領袖乘著車，騎著馬，跟猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民一同進入這城。這城必永遠有人居住。必有人從猶大的各城和耶路撒冷周圍的各處，從便雅憫地、低地、山地和南地而來；他們帶著燔祭、平安祭、素祭、乳香和感恩祭到耶和華的殿裡去。但如果你們不聽從我，不守安息日為聖日，仍在安息日挑擔子，進入耶路撒冷的城門；這樣，我就必在耶路撒冷的各城門點起火來，燒毀耶路撒冷的堡壘，沒有人能夠撲滅。”

米該雅說：“因此，你要聽耶和華的話；我看見耶和華坐在他的寶座上，天上的萬軍都侍立在他的左右。

你要對君王和太后說：“你們應從寶座下來，因為華麗的冠冕已經從你們的頭上脫下來了。”

“你們這所有被擄去的，就是我從耶路撒冷趕逐到巴比倫去的，要聽耶和華的話。
