因為論到離開這地方的約西亞之子猶大王沙龍，就是接續他父親約西亞作王的，耶和華這樣說：「他必不再回到這裏來，

他的臣僕用車把他的屍體從米吉多送到耶路撒冷，葬在他自己的墳墓裏。這地的百姓選約西亞的兒子約哈斯，膏立他，接續他父親作王。約哈斯登基的時候年二十三歲，在耶路撒冷作王三個月。他母親名叫哈慕她，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。約哈斯行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他祖先一切所行的。法老尼哥把約哈斯監禁在哈馬地的利比拉，不許他在耶路撒冷作王，又罰這地一百他連得銀子，一他連得金子。法老尼哥立約西亞的兒子以利雅敬接續他父親約西亞作王，給他改名叫約雅敬，卻把約哈斯帶到埃及，他就死在那裏。

所以，耶和華論到約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的哥哥！哀哉，我的姊姊！」也不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的主！哀哉，我主的榮華！」

弓箭手射中約西亞王。王對他的臣僕說：「我受了重傷，你們載我離開戰場吧！」他的臣僕扶他下了戰車，上了他的副座車，送他到耶路撒冷。他就死了，葬在他祖先的墳墓裏。全猶大和耶路撒冷都哀悼約西亞。耶利米為約西亞作哀歌，所有歌唱的男女也唱哀歌，追悼約西亞，直到今日。他們在以色列中以此為定例；看哪，這些哀歌寫在《哀歌書》上。

因此，看哪，我必使你歸到你祖先那裏，平安地進入墳墓；我要降於這地方的一切災禍，你不會親眼看見。』」他們就去把這話回覆王。

牠養大了其中一隻小獅子，成了少壯獅子，學會抓食，牠就吃人。列國聽見了就把牠逮住在他們的坑裏，用鈎子拉牠到埃及地去。
