他們也不追問說：「那領我們從埃及地上來，引導我們經過曠野，經過原野有深坑之地，乾旱漆黑之地，無人經過、無人居住之地的永恆主在哪裏呢？」

彼眾未言導我出埃及之耶和華安在、彼引我歷曠野、沙漠坎阱之區、旱乾死亡之地、無人經行、無人居處之境、

我導斯民、出於埃及、過曠野深坑之地、汲道已絕、陰翳之所、廬舍全無、人蹤罕至、我令此族、入於良田、食其土產、得其嘉物、自是之後、彼乃使我田疇聖業、咸染污衊、深可痛疾、庶民祭司、俱不求予、傳法之師、不識余道、民牧背予、先知託巴力之名而言、所作無益。

彼不求我、不念我曾引之出伊及、導之過曠野沙漠坎阱之地、旱乾幽暗幽暗原文作死陰之地、無人經歷無人居處之地、

They did not ask,‘ Where is the Lord, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, a land of drought and utter darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’

They did not ask,‘ Where is the Lord? He brought us up out of Egypt. He led us through a dry and empty land. He guided us through deserts and deep valleys. It was a land of total darkness where there wasn’t any rain. No one lived or traveled there.’

They did not say,‘ Where is the Lord who brought us up from the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and pits, in a land of drought and deep darkness, in a land that none passes through, where no man dwells?’

They did not ask,‘ Where is the Lord who brought us safely out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness— a land of deserts and pits, a land of drought and death, where no one lives or even travels?’

They stopped asking,“ Where is the LORD who brought us from the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, through a land of drought and darkness, a land no one traveled through and where no one lived?”

They did not say,‘ Where is the Lord Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, Who led us through the wilderness, Through a land of deserts and of pits, Through a land of drought and of deep darkness, Through a land that no one crossed And where no person lived?’

Neither did they say,‘ Where is the Lord, Who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, Who led us through the wilderness, Through a land of deserts and pits, Through a land of drought and the shadow of death, Through a land that no one crossed And where no one dwelt?’

Neither said they, Where is Jehovah that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through, and where no man dwelt?

They stopped asking,“ Where is the Lord who brought us from the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, through a land of drought and darkness, a land no one traveled through and where no one lived?”

Neither said they, Where[ is] the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

They did not ask:‘ Where is the LORD who delivered us out of Egypt, who brought us through the wilderness, through a land of desert sands and rift valleys, through a land of drought and deep darkness, through a land in which no one travels, and where no one lives?’

They didn’t say,‘ Where is Yahweh who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that no one passed through, and where no man lived?’

「耶和華在曠野之地，在空曠，野獸吼叫之荒地遇見他，就環繞他，看顧他，保護他，如同保護眼中的瞳人。

自從你出埃及地以來，我就是耶和華－你的神；除了我神以外，你不認識別的，在我以外，並沒有救主。

於是你的心高傲，忘記耶和華－你的神。他曾將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來，曾引領你經過那大而可怕的曠野，有火蛇、蠍子、乾旱無水之地。他也曾為你使水從堅硬的磐石中流出來，又在曠野將你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，為要磨煉你，考驗你，終久使你享福。

那時，他的百姓想起古時摩西的日子：「那將百姓和牧養羣羊的人從海裏領上來的在哪裏呢？那將聖靈降在他們中間，以榮耀的膀臂在摩西右邊行動，在百姓面前將水分開，為要建立自己永遠的名，又帶領他們經過深處的在哪裏呢？」他們如馬行走曠野，不致絆跌；

基甸對他說：「主啊，請容許我說，耶和華若與我們同在，我們怎麼會遭遇這一切事呢？我們的列祖告訴我們：『耶和華領我們從埃及上來』，他那奇妙的作為在哪裏呢？現在耶和華卻丟棄了我們，把我們交在米甸人的手掌中。」

那坐在黑暗裏的百姓看見了大光；坐在死蔭之地的人有光照耀他們。」

後來耶和華藉先知領以色列從埃及上來，也藉先知看顧他們。

我追想古時之日，上古之年。

耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你吩咐以色列人轉回，要在比‧哈希錄前面，密奪和海的中間，巴力‧洗分的前面安營。你們要在對面，靠近海邊安營。以色列人這樣做，法老必說：『他們在此地迷了路，曠野把他們困住了。』我要任憑法老的心剛硬，他要追趕他們。我必在法老和他全軍身上得榮耀，埃及人就知道我是耶和華。」於是以色列人照樣做了。有人報告埃及王說：「百姓逃跑了！」法老和他的臣僕對百姓改變了心意，說：「我們放以色列人走，不再服事我們，我們怎麼會做這種事呢？」法老就預備戰車，帶領他的軍兵同去，他帶了六百輛特選的戰車和埃及所有的戰車，每輛都有軍官。耶和華任憑埃及王法老的心剛硬，他就追趕以色列人；以色列人卻抬起頭來出去了。埃及人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、戰車、戰車長，與軍兵就在海邊上，靠近比‧哈希錄，在巴力‧洗分的前面，在他們安營的地方追上了。法老逼近的時候，以色列人舉目，看哪，埃及人追來了，就非常懼怕，以色列人向耶和華哀求。他們對摩西說：「難道埃及沒有墳地，你要把我們帶來死在曠野嗎？你為甚麼這樣待我們，將我們從埃及領出來呢？我們在埃及豈沒有對你說過，不要攪擾我們，讓我們服事埃及人嗎？因為服事埃及人總比死在曠野好。」摩西對百姓說：「不要怕，要站穩，看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的拯救，因為你們今天所看見的埃及人必永遠不再看見了。耶和華必為你們爭戰，你們要安靜！」耶和華對摩西說：「你為甚麼向我哀求呢？你吩咐以色列人往前走。

但無人說：『造我的神在哪裏？他使人夜間歌唱，

無人求告你的名，無人奮力抓住你。你轉臉不顧我們，你使我們因罪孽而融化。

願黑暗和死蔭索取那日，願密雲停在其上，願白天的昏暗恐嚇它。

就是在我去而不返，往黑暗和死蔭之地以先。那是烏黑之地，猶如幽暗的死蔭，毫無秩序；發出的光輝也像幽暗。」

他用以利亞身上掉下來的外衣打水，說：「耶和華－以利亞的神在哪裏呢？」打水之後，水也左右分開，以利沙就過去了。

「你去向耶路撒冷居民的耳朵呼喊，耶和華如此說：『你年輕時的恩愛，新婚時的愛情，你怎樣在曠野，在未耕種之地跟隨我，我都記得。

雖然他們說「我對永生的耶和華發誓」，所起的誓實在是假的。

他們在一切苦難當中，他也同受苦難，並且他面前的使者拯救他們。他以慈愛和憐憫救贖他們，在古時的日子時常抱他們，背他們。

祭司從來不問：『耶和華在哪裏呢？』傳講律法的不認識我，官長違背我，先知藉巴力說預言，隨從無益的東西。」

我雖然行過死蔭的幽谷，也不怕遭害，因為你與我同在；你的杖、你的竿，都安慰我。
