爾之惡行、使爾受刑、爾之違逆、使爾受譴、爾可知可見爾棄主爾之天主、不敬畏我、必至遭難受苦、此乃主萬有之天主所言、

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

You will be punished because you have sinned. You will be corrected for turning away from me. I am the Lord your God. If you desert me, bad things will happen to you. If you do not respect me, you will suffer bitterly. I want you to understand that,” announces the Lord who rules over all.

Your evil will chastise you, and your apostasy will reprove you. Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God; the fear of me is not in you, declares the Lord God of hosts.

Your wickedness will bring its own punishment. Your turning from me will shame you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to abandon the Lord your God and not to fear him. I, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!

Your own evil will discipline you; your own apostasies will reprimand you. Recognize how evil and bitter it is for you to abandon the LORD your God and to have no fear of me. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

恶人的罪过在他心中深处说话，他眼中也不怕神。（本节或译：“我心中深处有话说，是关于恶人的罪过，他眼中不怕神”）

你这不是自作自受吗？耶和华你的神在路上引导你时，你却离弃了他。

因此，狮子必从林中出来袭击他们，旷野的豺狼要杀害他们，豹子在他们的城边窥伺，出城的都必被撕碎；因为他们的过犯众多，背道的事也无法数算。

我的子民决要背道离开我，他们因着所负的轭而呼求，却没有人给他们卸下。

所以，他们必自食其果，必饱尝自己所设计谋的伤害。

耶和华这样说：“我离弃了你们的母亲，休书在哪里呢？或者我的债主中，哪一个是我把你们卖了给他的呢？看哪！你们被卖是因你们的罪孽；你们的母亲被离弃是因你们的过犯。

‘你们连我都不惧怕吗？在我面前你们也不战兢吗？’这是耶和华的宣告。‘我以沙作海的疆界，作永远的界限，海就不能越过；波浪翻腾，却不能漫过；怒涛澎湃，仍无法逾越。

以色列啊，回转吧！回到耶和华你的神那里，因为你是因自己的罪孽跌倒的。（本节在《马索拉文本》为14:2）

每逢犹底宣读完三四段，王就用书记的小刀把书割破，丢进盆中的火里，直到全卷都在盆中的火里烧尽了。王和他所有听见这一切话的臣仆，都不惊惧，也不撕裂衣服。

他们的眼中也不怕神。”

“背道的人哪，回转吧！我必医治你们背道的病。”“看哪！我们来到你这里，因为你是耶和华我们的神！

以色列倔强，好像倔强的母牛，现在耶和华怎样牧放他们，好像牧放宽阔草场上的羊羔呢？

恶人必被自己的罪孽捉住，他必被自己罪恶的绳索缠住。

但他们不肯听从，反而硬着颈项，充耳不闻（“反而硬着颈项，充耳不闻”直译是“转着固执的肩膊，使自己的耳朵发沉不听”）。

他的骨头虽然充满青春活力，却必与他一同躺卧在尘土中。邪恶在他的口中虽然甘甜，他把邪恶藏在自己的舌下。他虽然爱惜不舍，含在口中，然而他的食物在他腹中却要变坏，在他里面成为眼镜蛇的毒汁。他吞下了财宝，还要把它吐出来，神要从他的腹中把它掏出来，他必吸吮眼镜蛇的毒液，腹蛇的舌头必把他杀死。

这人民为什么背道，耶路撒冷为什么长久偏离？他们定意行诡诈，不肯回转。

耶和华对我说：“背道的以色列，比诡诈的犹大还显得正义。你去，把这些话向北方宣告，说：‘背道的以色列啊，回转吧！’这是耶和华的宣告。‘我必不向你们变脸，因为我是慈爱的，我必不永远怀怒。’这是耶和华的宣告。‘只要你承认自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和华你的神，在每棵繁茂的树下，滥爱外族人的神，没有听从我的话。’这是耶和华的宣告。‘背道的人哪，回转吧！’这是耶和华的宣告。‘因为我才是你们的主。我要每城取一人，每族取二人，把你们带到锡安。

约西亚王在位的日子，耶和华对我说：“背道的以色列所作的，她怎样走上各高山，在每棵繁茂的树下行淫，你看见了没有？我以为她作了这些事以后，就必回转过来，可是她没有回转。她诡诈的妹妹犹大也看见了。因背道的以色列犯了淫乱，我就给她休书，把她休了。我看见她诡诈的妹妹犹大还是不惧怕，照样行淫。

现在我告诉你们，我要怎样处理我的葡萄园：我要把它的篱笆撤去，使它被吞灭；我要把它的围墙拆毁，使它被践踏。
