The Lord says,“ Jeremiah, suppose a meal is being served because someone has died. Do not enter any house where that is happening. Do not go there to mourn or to comfort the family. I will not bless these people anymore. I have taken my love and pity away from them,” announces the Lord.

耶和华如此说：“不要进入丧家，不要去哀哭，也不要为他们悲伤，因我已将我的平安、慈爱、怜悯从这百姓夺去了。这是耶和华说的。

耶和華曰、勿入喪室、勿往弔、勿為之哀哭、蓋我於斯民、奪我平康、收我仁慈矜憫、耶和華言之矣、

耶和華又曰、我不矜恤斯民、不使平康、故勿入室哭之、亦勿往弔、

主如是云、必入喪家、勿往哀哭弔唁、我不使斯民復享平康、不復施恩惠、發憐憫、此乃主所言、

For this is what the Lord says:“ Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal; do not go to mourn or show sympathy, because I have withdrawn my blessing, my love and my pity from this people,” declares the Lord.

“ For thus says the Lord: Do not enter the house of mourning, or go to lament or grieve for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, my steadfast love and mercy, declares the Lord.

This is what the Lord says:“ Do not go to funerals to mourn and show sympathy for these people, for I have removed my protection and peace from them. I have taken away my unfailing love and my mercy.

“ For this is what the LORD says: Don’t enter a house where a mourning feast is taking place. Don’t go to lament or sympathize with them, for I have removed my peace from these people as well as my faithful love and compassion.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

For this is what the Lord says:“ Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to mourn or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people,” declares the Lord,“ and My favor and compassion.

For thus says the Lord:“ Do not enter the house of mourning, nor go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people,” says the Lord,“ lovingkindness and mercies.

For thus saith Jehovah, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith Jehovah, even lovingkindness and tender mercies.

“ For this is what the Lord says: Don’t enter a house where a mourning feast is taking place. Don’t go to lament or sympathize with them, for I have removed My peace from these people”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ as well as My faithful love and compassion.

For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD,[ even] lovingkindness and mercies.

“ Moreover I, the LORD, tell you:‘ Do not go into a house where they are having a funeral meal. Do not go there to mourn and express your sorrow for them. For I have stopped showing them my good favor, my love, and my compassion. I, the LORD, so affirm it!

For Yahweh says,“ Don’t enter into the house of mourning. Don’t go to lament. Don’t bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people,” says Yahweh,“ even loving kindness and tender mercies.

“ Son of man, I will take away from you the wife you delight in. It will happen very soon. But do not sing songs of sadness. Do not let any tears flow from your eyes.Groan quietly. Do not mourn for your wife when she dies. Keep your turban on your head. Keep your sandals on your feet. Do not cover your mustache and beard. Do not eat the food people eat to comfort them when someone dies.”So I spoke to my people in the morning. And in the evening my wife died. The next morning I did what I had been commanded to do.Then the people said to me,“ Tell us what these things have to do with us. Why are you acting like this?”So I told them. I said,“ A message from the Lord came to me. The Lord said,‘ Speak to the people of Israel. Tell them,“ The Lord and King says,‘ I am about to make my temple“ unclean.” I will let the Babylonians burn it down. It is the beautiful building you are so proud of. You take delight in it. You love it. The sons and daughters you left behind will be killed by swords.So do what Ezekiel did. Do not cover your mustache and beard. Do not eat the food people eat to comfort them when someone dies.Keep your turbans on your heads. Keep your sandals on your feet. Do not mourn or weep. You will waste away because you have sinned so much. You will groan among yourselves.

When their twigs are dry, they will be broken off. Then women will come and make fires with them. The people of Jacob don’t understand the Lord. So the God who made them won’t be concerned about them. Their Creator won’t be kind to them.

Then the Lord said to me,“ Suppose Moses and Samuel were standing in front of me. Even then my heart would not feel sorry for these people. Send them away from me! Let them go!Suppose these people ask you,‘ Where should we go?’ Then tell them,‘ The Lord says,“‘ “Those I have appointed to die will die. Those I have appointed to be killed by swords will be killed by swords. Those I have appointed to die of hunger will die of hunger. Those I have appointed to be taken away as prisoners will be taken away.” ’“ I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,” announces the Lord.“ Swords will kill them. Dogs will drag them away. Birds will eat them up. And wild animals will destroy them.I will make all the kingdoms on earth hate them. That will happen because of what Manasseh did in Jerusalem. He was king of Judah and the son of Hezekiah.

In that day I will become angry with them. I will desert them. I will turn my face away from them. And they will be destroyed. Many horrible troubles and hard times will come on them. On that day they will say,‘ Trouble has come on us. Our God isn’t with us!’

Before the work was started again, there was no pay for the people. And there was no money to rent animals. People could not go about their business safely because of their enemies. I had turned all of them against one another.

Another horse came out. It was red like fire. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth. He was given power to make people kill each other. He was given a large sword.

“ Important and unimportant people alike will die in this land. Their bodies will not be buried. No one will mourn for them. No one will cut themselves or shave their head for the dead.No one will offer food or drink to comfort those who mourn for the dead. No one will do this even if someone’s father or mother has died.

In those days it wasn’t safe to travel around. The people who lived in all the areas of the land were having a lot of trouble.One nation was crushing another. One city was crushing another. That’s because God was causing them to suffer terribly.
