我之痛苦、奚久不已、我之創傷、何為不瘳、爾之於我、果如無常之溪、無水之井乎、○

予創傷未痊、殘缺未醫、曷故。爾之待我、若泉之忽竭、使人絕望、曷故。

我之痛楚、恆久不息、我之創傷甚危、不得醫痊何故、主使我失望、若人望得水、而泉源忽竭、

Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails.

Why does my pain never end? Why is my wound so deep? Why can’t I ever get well? To me you are like a stream that runs dry. You are like a spring that doesn’t have any water.

Why is my pain unceasing, my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you be to me like a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?

Why then does my suffering continue? Why is my wound so incurable? Your help seems as uncertain as a seasonal brook, like a spring that has gone dry.”

Why has my pain become unending, my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? You truly have become like a mirage to me— water that is not reliable.

Why has my pain been endless And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive stream With water that is unreliable?

你為甚麼因你的破爛而哀呼你痛苦之無法醫治呢？我將這些刑罰施在你身上、都因你罪孽之眾多，你罪惡之重大呀。

因為撒瑪利亞的創傷無法醫治，乃是延及猶大，直逼我人民的城門，至於耶路撒冷。

我雖理直，卻被看為撒謊者；我雖沒有過犯，我受的箭傷卻無法醫治。」

永恆主啊，你誘導了我，我被誘導了！你比我強，你勝了我；我終日成為譏笑的對象，人人都戲弄我。

『因為永恆主這麼說：你的破爛無法醫治，你受的擊傷很厲害。

他們的貴顯人打發家僮去打水；家僮來到沼池邊，見沒有水，就空着器皿回來，失望狼狽，抱頭無言。

而我呢，看哪，我今日乃是使你成為堡壘城，成為鐵柱、銅牆、以抵禦全地，敵擋猶大的列王和首領、她的祭司、和國內的眾民。他們必攻擊你，卻不能制勝你；因為是我與你同在、要援救你：這是永恆主發神諭說的。』

你是全然棄絕了猶大麼？你的心討厭了錫安麼？為甚麼你擊打了我們，以致我們無法醫治呢？我們指望着平安，好處卻不來；指望得醫治時，唉，反而受了驚嚇！

我的心也非常驚惶。但你呢、永恆主啊，要等到幾時呢？

我的弟兄浮躁無恆像溪水，像溪水流過的河床。這溪水因結冰而溷濁，有雪藏於其中。幾時被曬暖，溪水就化沒了；炎熱時、溪水便從原處乾涸了。結伴的行路人順河扭轉了路，上到荒蕪之地就死去。提瑪結伴的行路人瞻望着，示巴旅行的同夥痴等着。他們因所瞻望的而失望，到了那裏便周章狼狽。

因主震怒之杖而經驗到苦難的，我就是那種人。他率領了我，帶我入暗中，非入光中。他真地反手攻擊我，終日再三地攻擊。他使我皮肉消損；折斷我的骨頭。他築壘攻打了我，用苦膽和苦難圍困着我。他使我住在幽暗地方，像死了許久的人一樣。他用牆圍着我，使我不能出去；他使我的銅鍊沉重。我每逢哀呼喊救，他總把我的禱告閉塞着。他用砍好的石頭擋住我的路；使我路徑彎曲。他像埋伏的熊、要撲着我，像獅子在隱密處。他使我轉離正路，將我撕碎；使我淒涼。他彎了弓，立了我做箭靶子。他把他箭袋中的箭射入我腰腎。我成了萬族之民的笑話，和終日唱的歌曲。他叫我飽嘗着苦楚，使我喫飫了苦堇。他用沙礫使我牙磣；他使我蜷縮於爐灰中。他屏棄了我、使我喪失平安；我已忘了福利是甚麼。我就說：『我的耐久力已衰盡，我由永恆主可得的指望也消失了。』

永恆主啊，你忘了我要到幾時呢？要到永久麼？你掩面不顧我要到幾時呢？我把苦痛放在自己身上，心裏終日愁苦，要到幾時呢？我仇敵趾高氣揚地向着我、要到幾時呢？永恆主我的上帝啊，垂顧而應我吧，使我眼目光明，免得我沉睡至死；
