Look up and see those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you, the sheep of which you boasted?

Jerusalem, look up! Your enemies are coming from the north. Where is the flock you were supposed to take care of? Where are the sheep you were so proud of?

“ Lift up your eyes and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?

Open up your eyes and see the armies marching down from the north! Where is your flock— your beautiful flock— that he gave you to care for?

Look up and see those coming from the north. Where is the flock entrusted to you, the sheep that were your pride?

“ Raise your eyes and see Those coming from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes and see Those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, Your beautiful sheep?

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?

Then I said,“ Look up, Jerusalem, and see the enemy that is coming from the north. Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? Where now are the‘ sheep’ that you take such pride in?

耶和华如此说：“看哪，有一民族从北方而来；有一大国被激起，从地极来到。

看哪，我必兴起迦勒底人，就是那残忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，霸占不属自己的住处。

耶和华—以色列的神论到那些牧养他百姓的牧人如此说：“你们赶散我的羊群，并未看顾他们；看哪，我必惩罚你们的恶行。这是耶和华说的。

耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地所有的居民。

所以我今日向你们作证，你们中间无论何人死亡，罪不在我。因为神一切的旨意，我并没有退缩不传给你们的。圣灵立你们作全群的监督，你们就当为自己谨慎，也为全群谨慎，牧养神的教会，就是他用自己血所买来的。我知道，在我离开以后必有凶暴的豺狼进入你们中间，不顾惜羊群。

有风声！看哪，来了！有大扰乱从北方而来，要使犹大的城镇变为废墟，成为野狗的住处。

你们若不听这话，我的心必因你们的骄傲暗自哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流泪，因为耶和华的羊群被掳去了。

因为，看哪，我要在这地立一个牧人；他不看顾将亡的，不寻找分散的，不医治受伤的，也不牧养强壮的；却要吞吃肥羊的肉，撕裂它们的蹄。祸哉！无用的牧人丢弃羊群，刀必临到他的膀臂和右眼上；他的膀臂必全然枯干，他的右眼也必昏暗失明。”

野地的走兽，你们都来吞吃吧！林中的野兽，你们也来吞吃！以色列的守望者都瞎了眼，没有知识；都是哑狗，不会吠叫，只知做梦，躺卧，贪睡，这些狗贪食，不知饱足。这些牧人不知明辨，他们都偏行己路，人人追求自己的利益。他们说：“来吧！我去拿酒，让我们畅饮烈酒吧！明天必和今天一样，甚至更好！”

“所以，你们这些牧人要听耶和华的话。主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我的羊因无牧人就成为掠物，也作了一切野兽的食物。我的牧人不寻找我的羊；这些牧人只知喂养自己，并不喂养我的羊。所以你们这些牧人要听耶和华的话。主耶和华如此说：看哪，我必与牧人为敌，从他们手里讨回我的羊，使他们不再牧放群羊；牧人也不再喂养自己。我必救我的羊脱离他们的口，不再作他们的食物。”

雇工不是牧人，羊不是他自己的，他一看见狼来，就撇下羊群逃跑；狼抓住羊，把它们赶散。雇工逃走，因为他是雇工，对羊毫不关心。
