Listen! The report is coming— a great commotion from the land of the north! It will make the towns of Judah desolate, a haunt of jackals.

Listen! A message is coming! I hear the sound of a great army marching down from the north! It will turn Judah’s towns into a desert. They will become a home for wild dogs.

A voice, a rumor! Behold, it comes!— a great commotion out of the north country to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a lair of jackals.

Listen! Hear the terrifying roar of great armies as they roll down from the north. The towns of Judah will be destroyed and become a haunt for jackals.

我必兴起迦勒底人，就是那残忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，占据那不属自己的住处。他威武可畏，判断和势力都任意发出。“他的马比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。马兵踊跃争先，都从远方而来；他们飞跑如鹰抓食，都为行强暴而来，定住脸面向前，将掳掠的人聚集，多如尘沙。 (cunps)

恶以扫，使他的山岭荒凉，把他的地业交给旷野的野狗。” (cunps)
