But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

But God used his power to make the earth. His wisdom set the world in place. His understanding spread out the heavens.

It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.

But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

起初，上帝创造天地。

他独自铺张诸天，步行在海浪之上。

上帝坐在地的穹窿之上，地上的居民有如蚱蜢。他铺张穹苍如幔子，展开诸天如可住的帐棚。

耶和华以能力创造大地，以智慧建立世界，以聪明铺张穹苍。他一出声，天上就有众水澎湃；他使云雾从地极上腾，造电随雨而闪，从仓库中吹出风来。人人都如同畜牲，毫无知识；银匠都因偶像羞愧，他所铸的偶像本为虚假，它们里面并无气息。它们都是虚无的，是迷惑人的东西，到它们受罚的时刻必被除灭。雅各所得的福分不是这样，因主是那创造万有的，以色列是他产业的支派，万军之耶和华是他的名。

耶和华如此说，他创造诸天，他是上帝；他造了地，形成它，坚固它，并非创造它为荒凉，而是要给人居住：“我是耶和华，再没有别的。

建造他的圣所如同高峰，又像他所建立的永存之地。

耶和华以智慧奠立地基，以聪明铺设诸天，

“我立大地根基的时候，你在哪里？你若明白事理，只管说吧！你知道是谁定地的尺度，是谁把准绳拉在其上吗？地的根基安置在何处？地的角石是谁安放的？那时，晨星一同歌唱；上帝的众使者也都欢呼。

天上的天和天上的水啊，你们都要赞美他！愿这些都赞美耶和华的名！因他一吩咐就都造成。

披上亮光，如披外袍，铺张穹苍，如铺幔子，

耶和华的默示，他的话论到以色列。铺张诸天、建立地基、造人里面之灵的耶和华说：

万物都是藉着他造的，没有一样不是藉着他造的。凡被造的，

‘唉！主耶和华，看哪，你曾用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造天和地，在你没有难成的事。

我亲手立了地的根基，以右手铺张诸天；我一召唤，天地就都立定。”

耶和华作王！他以威严为衣穿上；耶和华以能力为衣，以能力束腰，世界就坚定，不得动摇。

称谢那用智慧造天的，因他的慈爱永远长存。称谢那铺地在水以上的，因他的慈爱永远长存。

他把地建立在海上，安定在江河之上。

诸天藉耶和华的话而造，万象藉他口中的气而成。

耶和华啊，你所造的何其多！都是你用智慧造成的，全地遍满了你所造之物。

上帝说：“众水之间要有穹苍，把水和水分开。”上帝就造了穹苍，把穹苍以下的水和穹苍以上的水分开。事就这样成了。上帝称穹苍为“天”。有晚上，有早晨，这是第二日。上帝说：“天下面的水要聚集在一处，使干地露出来。”事就这样成了。

以雅各的上帝为帮助、仰望耶和华—他上帝的，这人有福了！耶和华造天、地、海和其中的万物，他守信实，直到永远。

那创造诸天，铺张穹苍，铺开地与地的出产，赐气息给地上众人，赐生命给行走其上之人的上帝耶和华如此说：

因为万有都是在他里面造的，无论是天上的、地上的，能看见的、不能看见的，或是有权位的、统治的，或是执政的、掌权的，一概都是藉着他为着他造的。

他一出声，天上就有众水澎湃；他使云雾从地极上腾，造电随雨而闪，从仓库中吹出风来。

你的信实存到万代；你坚立了地，地就长存。

上帝将北极铺在空中，将大地悬在虚空。

谁升天又降下来？谁聚风在手掌中？谁包水在衣服里？谁立定地的四极？他名叫什么？他儿子名叫什么？你知道吗？

我造大地，又创造人在地上。我亲手铺张诸天，天上万象也是我所任命的。

耶和华如此说：“在悦纳的时候，我应允了你；在拯救的日子，我帮助了你。我要保护你，要藉着你与百姓立约，为了复兴遍地，使人承受荒芜之地为业；

从你在母腹中就造了你，你的救赎主—耶和华如此说：“我—耶和华创造万物，独自铺张诸天，亲自展开大地；
