But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

But God used his power to make the earth. His wisdom set the world in place. His understanding spread out the heavens.

It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.

But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

起初，神創造天地。

他獨自鋪張諸天，步行在海浪之上。

神坐在地的穹窿之上，地上的居民有如蚱蜢。他鋪張穹蒼如幔子，展開諸天如可住的帳棚。

耶和華以能力創造大地，以智慧建立世界，以聰明鋪張穹蒼。他一出聲，天上就有眾水澎湃；他使雲霧從地極上騰，造電隨雨而閃，從倉庫中吹出風來。人人都如同畜牲，毫無知識；銀匠都因偶像羞愧，他所鑄的偶像本為虛假，它們裏面並無氣息。它們都是虛無的，是迷惑人的東西，到它們受罰的時刻必被除滅。雅各所得的福分不是這樣，因主是那創造萬有的，以色列是他產業的支派，萬軍之耶和華是他的名。

耶和華如此說，他創造諸天，他是神；他造了地，形成它，堅固它，並非創造它為荒涼，而是要給人居住：「我是耶和華，再沒有別的。

建造他的聖所如同高峯，又像他所建立的永存之地。

耶和華以智慧奠立地基，以聰明鋪設諸天，

「我立大地根基的時候，你在哪裏？你若明白事理，只管說吧！你知道是誰定地的尺度，是誰把準繩拉在其上嗎？地的根基安置在何處？地的角石是誰安放的？那時，晨星一同歌唱；神的眾使者也都歡呼。

天上的天和天上的水啊，你們都要讚美他！願這些都讚美耶和華的名！因他一吩咐就都造成。

披上亮光，如披外袍，鋪張穹蒼，如鋪幔子，

耶和華的默示，他的話論到以色列。鋪張諸天、建立地基、造人裏面之靈的耶和華說：

萬物都是藉着他造的，沒有一樣不是藉着他造的。凡被造的，

『唉！主耶和華，看哪，你曾用大能和伸出來的膀臂創造天和地，在你沒有難成的事。

我親手立了地的根基，以右手鋪張諸天；我一召喚，天地就都立定。」

耶和華作王！他以威嚴為衣穿上；耶和華以能力為衣，以能力束腰，世界就堅定，不得動搖。

稱謝那用智慧造天的，因他的慈愛永遠長存。稱謝那鋪地在水以上的，因他的慈愛永遠長存。

他把地建立在海上，安定在江河之上。

諸天藉耶和華的話而造，萬象藉他口中的氣而成。

耶和華啊，你所造的何其多！都是你用智慧造成的，全地遍滿了你所造之物。

神說：「眾水之間要有穹蒼，把水和水分開。」神就造了穹蒼，把穹蒼以下的水和穹蒼以上的水分開。事就這樣成了。神稱穹蒼為「天」。有晚上，有早晨，這是第二日。神說：「天下面的水要聚集在一處，使乾地露出來。」事就這樣成了。

以雅各的神為幫助、仰望耶和華－他神的，這人有福了！耶和華造天、地、海和其中的萬物，他守信實，直到永遠。

那創造諸天，鋪張穹蒼，鋪開地與地的出產，賜氣息給地上眾人，賜生命給行走其上之人的神耶和華如此說：

因為萬有都是在他裏面造的，無論是天上的、地上的，能看見的、不能看見的，或是有權位的、統治的，或是執政的、掌權的，一概都是藉着他為着他造的。

他一出聲，天上就有眾水澎湃；他使雲霧從地極上騰，造電隨雨而閃，從倉庫中吹出風來。

你的信實存到萬代；你堅立了地，地就長存。

神將北極鋪在空中，將大地懸在虛空。

誰升天又降下來？誰聚風在手掌中？誰包水在衣服裏？誰立定地的四極？他名叫甚麼？他兒子名叫甚麼？你知道嗎？

我造大地，又創造人在地上。我親手鋪張諸天，天上萬象也是我所任命的。

耶和華如此說：「在悅納的時候，我應允了你；在拯救的日子，我幫助了你。我要保護你，要藉着你與百姓立約，為了復興遍地，使人承受荒蕪之地為業；

從你在母腹中就造了你，你的救贖主－耶和華如此說：「我－耶和華創造萬物，獨自鋪張諸天，親自展開大地；
