The Midianites, the Amalekites and all the other eastern peoples had settled in the valley, thick as locusts. Their camels could no more be counted than the sand on the seashore.

The Midianites had set up their camp in the valley. So had the Amalekites and all the other tribes from the east. There were so many of them that they looked like huge numbers of locusts. Like the grains of sand on the seashore, their camels couldn’t be counted.

And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the people of the East lay along the valley like locusts in abundance, and their camels were without number, as the sand that is on the seashore in abundance.

The armies of Midian, Amalek, and the people of the east had settled in the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels were like grains of sand on the seashore— too many to count!

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and all the people of the east had settled down in the valley like a swarm of locusts, and their camels were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, the Amalekites, and all the people of the east were lying in the valley as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.

Now the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people from the east covered the valley like a swarm of locusts. Their camels could not be counted; they were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore.

那時西巴和撒慕拿並跟隨他們的軍兵都在加各，約有一萬五千人，就是東方人全營一共所留下的；至於倒斃的就有十二萬人是能拔刀的。

因為那些人總帶着他們的牲畜和帳棚上來，來得像蝗蟲那麼多，人和駱駝無數，都進境內、來損毁它。

這些王同他們的眾軍兵一齊出來，其人之多，就像海邊的沙那麼多；並有極多馬匹和車輛。

每逢以色列人播種之後，米甸人總上來，亞瑪力人和東方人也都上來、攻打他們，

永恆主啊，我的敵人何其多呀！有許多人起來攻擊我。

萬族之民哪，明白吧，你們終必驚慌；遠地之眾民哪，側耳以聽哦！束起腰吧，你們終必驚慌；束起腰吧，你們終必驚慌。謀畫陰謀吧，終必歸於失敗；一言言定吧，終必不能成立；因為上帝與我們同在。

君王不能因軍兵多而得勝；勇士不能因力氣大而得救援；

列國圍繞着我；我靠永恆主的名將他們割掉；他們環繞着我，圍困着我；我靠永恆主的名將他們割掉；他們如同蜂子圍繞着我，他們燃燒起像荊棘中的火；我靠着永恆主的名將他們割掉。

那時米甸人亞瑪力人和東方人都聚集過河，在耶斯列山谷紮營。

所羅門的智慧超過東方人的智慧、和埃及人的一切智慧。

有古實人謝拉率領了軍兵一百萬，戰車三百輛，出來攻擊猶大人，直來到瑪利沙。於是亞撒出去迎擊他；彼此就在瑪利沙的洗法谷擺上陣來。亞撒向永恆主他的上帝呼求說：『永恆主啊，在強盛者與軟弱無力者之間，除了你以外是沒有幫助者的。永恆主我們的上帝啊，求你幫助我們；因為我們依靠着你，我們奉你的名去對付這蜂擁軍兵。永恆主啊，你才是我們的上帝；不要讓人有把握勝過你哦。』於是永恆主把古實人擊敗在亞撒和猶大人面前，古實人就逃跑了。
