得聞敵言、則有勇力、可下攻營、遂攜僕普拉而往、至其營隅、近於行伍、

聽眾所言、後即遇敵、可強乃志。其田與其僕部喇遂下、至營之極處、近於行伍。

藉著使我剛強的那一位，我一切都能。

你們要堅固發軟的手，穩固軟弱的膝；要對那些心裡驚慌的人說：「你們要堅強，不要害怕。看哪，你們的神！他的報復將到——他所施行的報應將到；他必親自來拯救你們。」

但他對我說：「我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的大能在軟弱中得以完全。」因此，我反而極其樂意地誇耀我的那些軟弱，好讓基督的能力遮蓋在我身上。所以，為了基督的緣故，我在那些軟弱中、凌辱中、艱難中、在逼迫和困苦中，都感到喜悅；因為我什麼時候軟弱，什麼時候就剛強了。

約拿單就說：「看，我們過到他們那裡，讓他們看見我們。如果他們對我們說：『站住，等我們過到你們那裡！』我們就留在原地，不上他們那裡去。如果他們說：『上我們這裡來！』我們就上去，因為耶和華已經把他們交在我們手中了，這是給我們的徵兆。」

掃羅的兒子約拿單起身去何列什見大衛，勉勵他靠著神堅強，

守軍中有人向約拿單和替他拿兵器的喊道：「上我們這裡來，讓我們教訓教訓你們！」約拿單就對拿兵器的說：「跟我上去，因為耶和華已經把他們交在以色列手中了。」

我對哪個少女說『請放下你的罐子，讓我喝點水』，如果那個少女說『請喝吧，我也給你的駱駝喝』，願她就是你為你的僕人以撒指定的那位。這樣我就知道你確實向我主人施慈愛了。」

最後，你們要在主裡藉著他力量的權能得以剛強。

願他按照他那榮耀的豐盛，藉著他的靈，以大能使你們內在的人剛強起來；
