And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

基甸對他說：『我若在你面前蒙恩，求你為我顯個神迹，證實是你同我說話。

曰、我若蒙恩於爾前、求示我以徵、俾知與我言者為爾也、

曰如我蒙恩於爾前、請示以徵、則知爾誠諭我者也。

曰、如我蒙恩於主前、求主示我以證、使我知與我言者誠主也、或作使我知主真與我言

Gideon replied,“ If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me.

Gideon replied,“ If you are pleased with me, give me a special sign. Then I’ll know that it’s really you talking to me.

And he said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your eyes, then show me a sign that it is you who speak with me.

Gideon replied,“ If you are truly going to help me, show me a sign to prove that it is really the Lord speaking to me.

Then he said to him,“ If I have found favor with you, give me a sign that you are speaking with me.

So Gideon said to Him,“ If now I have found favor in Your sight, then perform for me a sign that it is You speaking with me.

Then he said to Him,“ If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.

And he said unto him, If now I have found favor in thy sight, then show me a sign that it is thou that talkest with me.

Then he said to Him,“ If I have found favor in Your sight, give me a sign that You are speaking with me.

Gideon said to him,“ If you really are pleased with me, then give me a sign as proof that it is really you speaking with me.

He said to him,“ If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.

Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see[ it], and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation[ is] thy people.

Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.

For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight?[ is it] not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that[ are] upon the face of the earth.

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor;[ and] if the dew be on the fleece only, and[ it be] dry upon all the earth[ beside], then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land[ that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites[ is] not yet full.And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What[ shall be] the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.And the LORD said unto him, What[ is] that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand[ was] leprous as snow.And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his[ other] flesh.And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour[ it] upon the dry[ land]: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry[ land].

And this[ shall be] a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
