願他們的筵席在他們面前變為網羅、報應和陷阱（按照《馬索拉文本》，“報應和陷阱”應作“在他們平安的時候，變為陷阱”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯。又按照《他耳根》或譯：“願他們的平安祭筵變為陷阱”）。

人的驕傲必使他卑微；心裡謙卑的，必得尊榮。

在亞拿的兒子珊迦的時候，在雅億的日子，大道無人行走，行路的人繞道而行。

那日就像一個人避過了獅子，卻遇上了熊；回到家裡，手靠在牆上，卻被蛇咬。耶和華的日子不是黑暗，沒有光明，只有幽暗，全無光輝嗎？

他的腳步必然狹窄，自己的計謀必把他絆倒；他的腳送自己進入網羅，他走在陷阱之上。圈套要纏住他的腳跟，網羅要罩在他身上。活扣為他藏在地裡，羈絆為他埋在路上。驚駭四面恐嚇他，並且追趕他的腳蹤。他的氣力因飢餓衰敗，禍患預備使他跌倒。

我的神說：“惡人必沒有平安。”

他把祭司剝衣擄去，傾覆有權有勢的人。他除掉忠信人的言論，又除去老年人的辨別力。他把羞辱傾倒在王子上，又鬆開壯士的腰帶。
