我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們從那地上來，到美好與寬闊之地，到流奶與蜜之地，就是迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。

他們不照耶和華所吩咐的滅絕外邦人，反倒與列國相交，學習他們的行為，事奉他們的偶像，這就成了自己的圈套。他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，用他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

迦南生了長子西頓，又生赫和耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、希未人、亞基人、西尼人、亞瓦底人、洗瑪利人、哈馬人，後來迦南的家族散開了。

以法蓮沒有趕出住基色的迦南人。於是迦南人仍住在基色，在以法蓮中間。西布倫沒有趕出基倫的居民和拿哈拉的居民。於是迦南人仍住在西布倫中間，成了服勞役的人。亞設沒有趕出亞柯的居民和西頓的居民，以及亞黑拉、亞革悉、黑巴、亞弗革和利合的居民。亞設人因為沒有趕出那地的居民迦南人，就住在他們中間。

「耶和華－你的神領你進入你要得為業之地，從你面前趕出許多國家，就是比你更強大的七個國家：赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。

就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、耶布斯人的地。」

你發現他在你面前心裏忠誠，就與他立約，要把迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、革迦撒人之地賜給他的後裔，並且你也實現了你的話，因為你是公義的。

我也曾說：要把你們從埃及的困苦中領出來，往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』

約旦河西，住山區、低地和沿大海一帶直到黎巴嫩的諸王，就是赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的諸王，聽見這事，
