Now, all you Israelites, speak up and tell me what you have decided to do.”

All you men of Israel, speak up now. Tell me what you have decided to do.”

Behold, you people of Israel, all of you, give your advice and counsel here.”

Now then, all of you— the entire community of Israel— must decide here and now what should be done about this!”

Look, all of you are Israelites. Give your judgment and verdict here and now.”

And so it was that all who saw it said,“ No such deed has been done or seen from the day that the children of Israel came up from the land of Egypt until this day. Consider it, confer, and speak up!”

Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the Lord.

Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner— not even to eat with such a person.For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?

Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say,‘ surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles— that a man has his father’s wife!

For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

“ You are the children of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead.For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war.
