Yahweh’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said,“ I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said,‘ I will never break my covenant with you.

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land.

“ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“ Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said,“ To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

And the Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her,“ Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.

Or did God ever try to go and take for Himself a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

and said:“ By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.And the Lord said to Satan,“ The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said,“ Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

And Joshua said,“ By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:

Then they called the name of that place Bochim; and they sacrificed there to the Lord.

He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, And they inherited the labor of the nations,That they might observe His statutes And keep His laws. Praise the Lord!

Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him,“ The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

And He said,“ My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.

And I took my staff, Beauty, and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

“ Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years, and you shall know My rejection.

Do not abhor us, for Your name’s sake; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember, do not break Your covenant with us.

But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said,“ Abraham, Abraham!” So he said,“ Here I am.”And He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.

The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Now the Angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.And He said,“ Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She said,“ I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”The Angel of the Lord said to her,“ Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand.”Then the Angel of the Lord said to her,“ I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.”

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he struggled with God.Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—That is, the Lord God of hosts. The Lord is His memorable name.

“ Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts.
