「與鄰舍之妻行淫的，姦夫淫婦都必治死。

她丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願意明明地羞辱她，想要暗暗地把她休了。

後來我必勸導她，領她到曠野，對她說安慰的話。

過了些日子，到割麥子的時候，參孫帶着一隻山羊羔去看他的妻，說：「我要進內室見我的妻。」他岳父不容他進去，

她說：「主啊，沒有。」耶穌說：「我也不定你的罪。去吧，從此不要再犯罪了！」

「不可心裏恨你的弟兄；總要指摘你的鄰舍，免得因他擔罪。

有話說：人若休妻，妻離他而去，作了別人的妻，前夫豈能再收回她來？若收回她來，那地豈不是大大玷污了嗎？但你和許多親愛的行邪淫，還可以歸向我。這是耶和華說的。

神因他去就發了怒；耶和華的使者站在路上敵擋他。他騎着驢，有兩個僕人跟隨他。

就對耶穌說：「夫子，這婦人是正行淫之時被拿的。摩西在律法上吩咐我們把這樣的婦人用石頭打死。你說該把她怎麼樣呢？」

弟兄們，若有人偶然被過犯所勝，你們屬靈的人就當用溫柔的心把他挽回過來；又當自己小心，恐怕也被引誘。
